Paper Players 246

DSCF0053

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend, especially since it’s the Memorial Day holiday weekend in the USA!  Today Anne Marie has a sketch challenge for us at the Paper Players!  Here you go:

I was definitely having stamper’s block with my card this week…it was not the sketch; I LOVE the sketch; I just couldn’t make anything work!  Finally, I pegged together something that I liked, using some older Unity stamps:

and the color challenge from Colour Me…! shown here:

I used some SAB paper from the recent catalog; stamped my images in Bermuda Bay and colored them with a blender pen and Pear Pizzazz ink:

and then a row of polka dots using a PTI set, stamped in Smoky Slate and again, colored with a blender pen:

I received the fun baker’s twine as a gift and it worked perfectly with the colors too, so I added that behind my image for a fun embellishment!  A couple of stitched borders and a “celebrate” sentiment and my card will get added to my birthday card stash!

Hope you find the sketch inspiring and will play along with us this week too!  Here’s what the other designers created with it:

Hey, if you let go, the stroller goes by itself!  Wheeeeeee!

Enjoy your day!

  2. Wonderful job with the sketch. Your sentiment looks great stamped directly on the patterned paper. I need to remember to try that sometime. And, what cutie in the photos!

  12. I have to agree with exactly what Jaydee said, I never would have believed you had any kind of creative block. This is beautiful! I love the soft colors and the fantastic mix of patterns. The loopy twine is such a great accent, too. I’m glad you liked my sketch this week. Big hugs! :)
