Happy Saturday, everyone! Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend! I had some late-night stamping time during the week and when I saw the Colour Me…! challenge of one of the new In Colors, Blackberry Bliss, I knew just what a wanted to do!
One of my customers sent me a pretty card with an interesting fold, and I wanted to replicate it! Here is the front, using some Moonlight Papers and the new Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Fair dies:
I find I am still on a learning curve with these larger clear stamps; although I am getting a great image with the flowers, some of my words have little fuzzies on them; guess I need to clean them differently! Anyway, here’s the fun part! There is a little popped-up flower on the inside, and behind the front is a panel that folds, creating a little easel card:
Isn’t that cool? This was my “prototype”…I need to play around with it a little bit more to get it just right! But I like the simplicity of the monochromatic theme with the boldness of the stripes and flowers! And of course, because I had a piece of stripey paper left, I used it with the new File Tab dies, and my new Little Letters dies (LOVE THEM!! I popped up the solid piece atop another piece of Blackberry Bliss DP and added some cotton ribbon:
I found that using a little piece of washi tape along the bottom edge (make sure its even) helped position my letter dies! I think my file tab needs a little something…not sure what…..but I did add a chevron-embossed background for a trendy look! Thanks for visiting today!
Helping Grammy wash the veggies from the garden;
then washing out the glass hummingbird feeder (can you guess where this is going?);
Yep….she broke it, banging it on the driveway. Very apologetic and hopefully a lesson learned because she cut her finger a teeeeny tiny little bit…and she hates the sight of blood!!!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!
