Happy Thursday, everyone! Having a good week so far? My sister is her visiting me from South Carolina for a couple of days and we are having a great time! So if I am MIA, you’ll know why!
I did have time to make a real quick, almost one-layer card using the Colour Me…! subtle colors for this week…so pretty!
I still have Hello Darling sitting on my desk, AND Chalk Lines, so I did some simple stamping to come up with this:
I stamped the broad wavy image in Pink Pirouette, along with the outline floral, then stamped the bold floral right over top in Strawberry Slush….what a gorgeous color this is! I added some Gorgeous Grunge speckle in Pool Party along with a little banner cut with the small banner punch and stamped “my friend” from And Many More on top. I also tried coloring our gold sequins with Blendabilities, since I forgot to order those cool sequins on my first catalog order!!! Not too bad….a fun technique and a way to get some extra bang for your buck with the markers!
You just can’t go wrong with this pretty set!
My sister took Cassidy to the little creek in our back yard to see if she could find some crayfish, and she did! I have lived here almost 30 years and I never even tried (or wanted) to look for a crayfish!!!
Cassidy was having no parts of it!!!
Then she returned him to his little home under the rock! A fun experience!
I'm with you and Cassidy - crayfish belong under their rock LOL. I totally love your card for this color challenge. I especially liked the loads of white space and then the pops of color nestled pretty much along the bottom and left side. My fav part is the sweet sweet banner - LOVE that! How do you adhere your sequins and do they stay adhered through the mail? mail AT kellyrae DOT com
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love that she put him back under his rock!
ReplyDeleteLove this card... I love the fact that you carried the floral theme from the focal point onto the background. Really gorgeous.
