Simply gorgeous! And here’s my interpretation:
I seem to be on a CAS kick here lately; my card for today uses sketch 33 from CAS on Sunday:
To create this, I first punched a small heart using the Owl Builder punch in Tempting Turquoise; then I punched a larger heart around it with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, which will be available in the new catalog! I punched an identical heart from gold foil and adhered it to the back of the turquoise one. It’s “floating” on a little piece of dimensional!! Of course, gold sequins add a nice touch as well as some speckles from Encore Gold ink! I hope you’ll play along with this elegant color combo and share you creation with us at the ColourQ this week!!
I am going to give you a break from Cassidy pictures (I’ll be back tomorrow with some) to show you a couple of bird pix. This year has been amazing for my amateur backyard birding! Under John’s shed roof, a ladder extension provided a good resting place for a robin’s nest and her four eggs:
A male ruby-throated hummingbird:
A pair of tree swallows that stole my bluebird house (but the bluebird fought back and is now in residence, yay!):
and my thrill of the season, a scarlet tanager, seen yesterday:Thanks for indulging me! Have a great day!
Products used (including non-SU Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangles and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, upcoming in the new catalog):
Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I visit your site everyday ... Love your cards! You inspire me! And today - my heart rills at the bird pics! One of my greatest joys is the amateur bird watching I do. As I write this I have my patio door open and am listeningt to the call of the Red Cardinal ! Bless you and thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat card as always and thanks for sharing the bird photos, too :)
ReplyDeleteLove this..
ReplyDelete...and love those little stitches.......is that one of those elusive dies that is always sold out? And those eggs are a gorgeous blue!
I love the card. That is a great stamp set! I love the splat.
ReplyDeleteIt has been an amazing year for birds. We had a pair of indigo buntings at the feeder. there Oriole and a humming bird are there right now now. And I don't have my camera handy. This is the prettiest time of the year.
love your birds!!
ReplyDeleteFUN card LeAnne, has a bit of both masculine and feminine feels to it! Love the bird pics too, my hubby would have a field day in your yard! He unknowingly captured a rare bird last week while at the park. People were ooowing and aaawing and wishing they had seen it!! He had NO IDEA what it was LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat card- very different than many of your others (not that they're not fabulous too- you know what I mean!) Love the bird pix too- amazing clarity, esp. on the hummingbird!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love the bird pictures. Love the card too.
ReplyDeletelove this card! love all your birds too! my feeder is out and i know they're drinking, but i can't wait to see my first hummingbird of the season!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love those inky splatters! I'm a bit of a back yard birder too. I saw my first Scarlet Tanager a couple of years ago then last year there was an Indigo Bunting at my feeder! Makes me want to keep my camera with me when I'm outside gardening!
ReplyDeleteOh my - I'm so jealous of your birds! I think I'll have another family of wrens in my lobster buoy this year, but nothing so beautiful as your Scarlet Tanager and your gorgeous hummingbird. So lovely! Your card is also gorgeous! DH headed east to Belmira yesterday so the boating season has begun. ~chris
ReplyDeletePretty card. Great way to use these colours.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying seeing the pictures of the birds you have around your home. I can see why you enjoy "watching" for them:
;)
Amazing photos LeAnne - it's a wonder you get any crafting done lol! Love your splashy background and touch of gold!
ReplyDeleteLove the card - and the bird pictures! We had a pair of blue tits nesting in our bird box this year. 12 eggs laid and 10 hatched, but unfortunately none of the babies lived more than 9 days. Hope your robin has more luck!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, LeAnne! I love the clean design with the distressed accents. Your bird photos are amazing! You have some pretty awesome backyard guests. I got to see our little nest of baby swallows fly for the first time and it was SO cool. We also have baby cardinals in the front yard. Their nest is up high and hey are LOUD! Nature is a beautiful thing! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! Love! Thanks for playing with us at CAS on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteLeAnn, your photos are fabulous!!! Im so glad the bluebirds are nesting for you.... Ive seen ours, but only fleetingly. It must be Tanager day. I was on a call yesterday, saw a flash of bright red and there he was... in all his gorgeous, red and black glory..... then he was gone! Thanks for sharing your fab pics with us!
ReplyDeleteHugs
