ColourQ232

DSCF1323
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Woohoo, you know what that means…ColourQ day!  Check out this cute little inspirational photo:

I have been itching to play with some vellum, particularly making a little pocket or envelope, and this seemed the perfect time:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ232 Vellum Pocket Geometrical

I cut a piece of vellum 4 3/4 x 11”, cut one short end with the Adorning Accent Edgelit die, then folded it and sewed the sides to make my pocket.  The banners are punched with the little SAB banner punch (if you make your paper just a wee bit narrower than the punch, you can slip it into the back of the punch to make your banners longer!), using various papers and cardstocks.

The “newsprint” is from the Shop Around jumbo wheel, and the sentiment is from Geometrical.  I inked up my stamp with Versamark, then Lucky Limeade ink, stamped it on the vellum, sprinkled on Heat & Stick powder; heated it; then sprinkled on some Martha Stewart glitter and heated it again.  I love the unusual font against the vintage feel of the rest of the pocket!

I used the Chalk Talk dies to punch a little oval in the top of the pocket, then added some hand-dyed shabby seam ribbon and black & white baker’s twine.  Of course when it was ALL finished, I decided it was a little too plain, so I inked up the swirl from Everything Eleanor in white and stamped it in the open areas:

This will be perfect in which to put a little SU gift certificate, doncha think?

Thanks for stopping by today, and be sure to pop over to the ColourQ blog to see what the other creative courtiers have made for you today!

I shared with you earlier Cassidy’s Christmas cookies made of play-doh; here is she is, “baking” them in the oven (it was not turned on, don’t worry!):

And here she is, “blowing” on them, to cool them off!

Quite a pile of cookies, wouldn’t you say?
