Paper Players 179

DSCF0330
Hi peeps!  It’s Sunday, and that means another Paper Players challenge!  Sandy is our hostess and here’s her wonderful challenge:

Oooh….one layer!  That is a challenge!  I pulled out one of my favorite outline images, the little Valentine girl from Greeting Card Kids, stamped her on a watercolor-paper card and went to work:

I colored the image with reinkers and an aquapainter, and added some glitter on her little heart:

I added a sentiment from Delightful Dozen, filling in the heart with a little Pink Pirouette ink and adding some glitter and a rhinestone:

I rounded one corner just to add a little additional interest!

SO…..let’s see what you make with JUST ONE LAYER!!!  A little bit of embellishment is okay, but no paper layers!  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog….we can’t wait to see it!  And check out what the other designers made as well...they'll blow your socks off!

We finally had a nice enough day to bring the Radio Flyer tricycle outside!  We had a couple of mishaps involving “speed” and turning, but nothing serious!!  It’s just a matter of learning!

Enjoy your day!

  2. OH one layer. That is hard! But you pulled it off so well. I love the little girl I will have to pull her out too. Your card works for the Raisin Boat challenge this month. Hint Hint
You don't have snow on the ground! LOL Lucky you and Cassidy.

  3. You rocked this challenge, my friend! That little greeting card kid is just too stinkin' cute! You colored her perfectly too, and the sparkly heart is the perfect finishing touch. Question: Where does one obtain watercolor cards, or did you just fold a piece of watercolor paper? I love the look of it.

  5. Adorable! I need to think outside the box more. I see this set and I think vintage...lots of embellies and layers. It totally rocks as a one layer!

  6. Two things: #1 You are the queen of awesome watercoloring and #2 I NEED Cassidy's kitty hat. This is such a happy card! One-layer is always such a challenge for me, but you totally rocked it out of the park. Hugs! :)
