Ho, ho, ho! Happy Tuesday, everyone! Check out this cute little Christmas hooter, courtesy of Arielle and the ColourQ today:
Lots of inspiration here…owls, burlap, woodgrain….but I chose just to use the colors with a new-to-me vintagey set:
My sweet friend and neighbor Carol helped me snag this retired CTMH set and I quickly put it to use with the challenge colors! I used almost every image in the set between the collage and the main image:
The inside (I know, the color looks off, it's really much darker than this!):
I also used the Clean and Simple sketch 270 for this week:
I just love the vintage feel of this! I hope you will find some inspiration in this cute little owl, and share you creation with us at the ColourQ blog too! I know with this busy time of the year, it’s tough to find time to do everything, but we hope you’ll be able to carve out a little crafty time!
Dana took Cassidy to Oxford Grain & Hay on Saturday for pictures with Santa. This was a first for us, so I wasn’t quite prepared for all the pets who came to have their pictures taken with Santa! Everyone was very well-behaved, only a couple little accidents, (the pets, not Cassidy!) but these holiday-tutu-dressed chickens stole the show for me:
They were so calm, never got their feathers ruffled (no pun intended) and were quite pettable! Cassidy wanted to know if they were real—yes, they were very real! The one on the left is a silkie….I can’t remember the breed of the other one!
Oh….and here are Santa & Mrs Claus with Cassidy:
This is our fourth year with the same Mr & Mrs Claus, LOL!!! I think they must be the real deal! Enjoy your day! I’ll be back tomorrow with some more crafty stuff!
Beautiful collage card LeAnne, love the bit of stitched ribbon too! Those chickens are certainly decked out for the holidays but the don't hold a candle to sweet little Cassidy with Santa!!!

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen chickens dressed up before - for any holiday. They are cute. Cassidy is at such a great age for seeing the magic of Christmas. It is wonderful to see things through their eyes. I love that card, the tree, the colors, everything about it. It is a keeper!!

ReplyDeleteI love this card. The colors, vintage feel and the stamps, all go together and make it amazing1
Oh, I love this card! What an artful arrangement of all these images. Nobody does vintage quite like you! And I've never seen chickens quite like this, but I sure would like to. My hairdresser recently "adopted" some chickens so I think she'll get a real kick out of this!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a rustic, vintagy card...love the patterned papers and the really interesting edge to your tree layer. Cute idea to add the little sprigs and the postage cancellation stamp.
ReplyDeleteFabulous vintage card, LeAnne. I love the collage effect you've achieved. And Cassidy looks adorable in her pic with Mr and Mrs Claus.
