Happy Tuesday, peeps! Brrr, it really felt like November yesterday….I guess we have to face that winter is on its way! I love these earthy colors that Arielle chose for us this week for the ColourQ challenge:
Just Something I Made just offered a nice Thanksgiving postcard last week and it had most of the challenge colors, so I printed it out and made a vintage-style card:
(Thanks to Julie for correcting me on the source of my postcard!!!) I stamped my background with the wheat sheaf from Truly Grateful and used the woodgrain and woodcut images as well to stamp my panels:
I also used my trusty 1970 Smith Corona Corsair typewriter to make this little tag which is anchored by a pretty houndstooth brad in Bashful Blue! The Bible verse from this week’s Word Art Wednesday seemed appropriate for my inside sentiment:
This also qualifies for Sugar Creek Hollow’s challenge, which is vintage; and Frilly and Funky’s challenge this month is Thanksgiving.
I hope you will find some inspiration from this lovely set of linens, and that you translate it into something crafty! Share it with us at the ColourQ so we can all enjoy it, and be sure to check out what the designers made as well!
If you’re squeamish about dead animals, don’t look at the next picture!!!!
Yep……life in the country means you might see a dead mouse on your driveway! Nuff said! Enjoy your day!

Beautiful card! I love the vintage feel of it.
ReplyDeleteWhen my oldest was about Cassidy's age I heard him in the kitchen talking to someone. I ran out and he was sitting like Cassidy talking to a cute little mouse like that. The mouse was sitting up talking to him. I quickly grabbed a broom and smashed that vernon talking to my baby. LOL I don't know what kind of damage I did to the poor kid. I was in total protective mother mode. LOL we lived in the middle of a corn field and in a 100 yr old brick house. Lots of places for the mice to come in for a visit. It was a cute mouse with big ears. LOL Hugs, Linda
awwww the poor little thing. I hope Cassidy gave him a proper burial ;)Lovley card LeAnne, the vintage postcard is awesome!
