Merry Monday 81

DSCF8759

Happy Monday, peeps!  Time for another fun challenge from Merry Monday!  Here’s the jolly fellow himself:

I had about a gazillion ideas swirling around in my head for this challenge, but I already had this image stamped and just sitting on my desk, so I went with it!  Here you go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 81 Santa Christmas CAS

I have a really, really busy week coming up, so I was thrilled that this CAS card came together so easily!  I used some papers from SU’s Season of Style designer pad and some Gumball Green ribbon and cardstock.  Easy peasy!!!  Now, what can YOU come up with for this Santa-themed challenge?  Can’t wait to see your ideas!  Check all the designers’ creations at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper!  And since I have such a busy week, I am going to be taking a little blogging break, but I’ll be back on Sunday with the next Paper Players challenge!  Enjoy your week!

It’s time to play in the leaves!

Country CAS

DSCF8875

Yikes, I am squeaking this one in right under the wire!  I just got this Harvest Home set and this image was perfect for the CASology challenge this week of “Country”:

I also used the CAS on Sunday sketch:

I stamped my image in Stazon on watercolor paper and simply colored it in with reinkers!  I just LOVE this image!  The sentiment is from Creative Time, it’s part of a set called Mixed Holiday Sentiments.  Enjoy your Sunday!

Paper Players 169

DSCF8861

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s time for another Paper Players challenge, this time our hostess is the sweet Anne Marie, and she has a sketch for us today:

I am a vintage Halloween postcard junkie!  Thank goodness for the internet and blogs because there are tons of cute images out there.  When I saw Anne Marie’s sketch, I knew I wanted to use one of my Graphics Fairy images.  So here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 169 Vintage Halloween

Unfortunately, I was using the sketch from memory, so I didn’t put the sentiment in quite the right spot, but hopefully AM will be okay with it!  I used a Midnight Muse card base and Smoky Slate for my mat.  The stars were stamped in Encore silver ink, and my sentiment is on vellum!  It’s hard to tell, but the moon is glittered too!  Here are a couple closeups:

And I used some silver ink for the inside sentiment as well:

I love that this sketch has lots of elements, which means lots of stampin’ potential!   Can’t wait to see what you do with it!  And check out ALL the creations at the Paper Players blog!

Check out this angelic hairdo:

But look at what the little imp did while my back was turned:

PPA177 & SR199

DSCF8820-001

Oh my, I am so happy it is Friday, peeps!  I was giddy when I saw this photo inspiration at Stampin’ Royalty, where I have not played forever!  Isn’t this gorgeous?

I paired it with the Pals Paper Arts sketch for this week:
PPA177
to make a “welcome” card for one of the four new recruits that signed up!  I am so excited for them!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Creative Elements Stampin Up

Although the sketch looks complicated, this is probably one of the easiest cards I ever made!  I fussy cut the flower from Creative Elements and stamped the flourish on a scrap of Very Vanilla….it fit very nicely in a Chalk Talk die….just a wee bit short but I covered up that end with my flower!  I added another seam binding bow—I seem to be making them a lot lately—and mounted everything on some Modern Medley designer paper.

Last week we walked down the road to give our neighbor’s horse a little treat:

Despite the muzzle, she managed to get that carrot with no problem!  Thanks for visiting today!

FMS109 & MIM143

DSCF8818

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Brrrrr!  It is feeling more like November than October this week here in SE PA!  I am not quite ready for this, but it is definitely getting me in the spirit of the season!  And speaking of the season, check out this sweet inspiration for the color challenge at The Kraft Journal this week:

And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Stampin Up Truly Grateful

I wanted to make a card for a couple of my new recruits, and this Truly Grateful set seemed appropriate!  I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch #109 as well:

I stamped my wheat image in Stazon, then used ink and my aquapainter to color it in, then fussy-cut it and popped it up.  I added some banners and a little linen bow.  The orange banner is made from a strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that was distressed with a bone folder, then separated and sponged with PP ink:

I would never have thought to put these colors together, but I just love them!

Cassidy is finally learning to ride a 3-wheeler, and athough it was chilly yesterday, it was still was nice enough to take a ride in Grampy’s garage…and of course, an Oreo makes the ride even better!

JUGS211 & TSSC285

DSCF8763

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  A quick card today for two challenges:

Oooh, I just love the colors in that JUGS challenge, and the Techno-stamper sketch is sweet!  This is what I came up with:

LeAnne Pugliese Wee Inklings JUGS 211 TSSC285

I am thinking I should have used Baja Breeze for my base instead of Marina Mist, but maybe I’ll make another one!  I used some MME papers, some retired SU flowers and a sentiment from Fabulous Phrases for my banner.  The swirls are from Everything Eleanor, which I also used on the inside:

Poor Cassidy was sick this past week….her nose was all runny and red, and she was sneezing like crazy, but she was willing to have her picture taken (surprise!) as I told her I wanted it to show her mommy!!

Enjoy your day!

ColourQ212

DSCF8754
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Another fun ColourQ challenge from Arielle today—don’t these little critters look like they would be fun to make?
I think my crafty mojo got scared away this week, because my card today is pretty straightforward….nothing real spectacular here!  I did use the Paper Craft Crew sketch from this week, because I love my “threes”:
Card Sketch #63
And here we go:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ212 Spooky Bingo Bits Halloween Stampin Up
I used some scary images from Jolly Bingo Bits but I mounted them on some black gingham paper….that means they can’t be too scary, right?  I added a little black picket fence (Martha Stewart punch)  and my sentiments, and on the inside, I added a little verse, one of my favorite Halloween stamps:
DSCF8757
And you say, “Oh how nice…she stamped it on a separate piece of paper and matted it with a nice black mat….doesn’t this look extra-special?”…..well, it’s because I stamped the sentiment UPSIDE DOWN….and it was really nice & straight, too!  Grrrr!  So this is how you fix it!  LOL!  Enjoy your day, and be sure to play along with us at the ColourQ blog….you will be amazed at how the other girls used these colors---they’re NOT just for Halloween!
Cassidy had her first pony ride last week….of course you have to wear cowgirl boots to ride a pony!!

Merry Monday 80

DSCF8706

Happy Monday, everyone!  It must be Monday….my tail is dragging and I totally forgot to set up my post!  But no fear, here it is!  Lesley has the sweetest challenge for us today for Merry Monday, and I must say, I had a dozen ideas floating in my head, especially since I love vintage scenes:

But I also had a lovely little stamp from Waltzingmouse that said “Sleigh Bells Ring…are you listening?”…..and I had been wanting to use that one for a while, and this seemed like a good time!  Now forgive me, because it’s another blue and silver card like last week:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 80 Sleigh Bells Ring Christmas Stampin Up

This time I used Soft Sky, and because it is such a subtle color, it is a bit difficult to see the scene, but I can assure you that the couple riding in their sleigh, over the snow-covered hills and bridge to the church beyond, is just delightful:

DSCF8709

I tried several different ways to stamp the sentiment, but in the end, embossing it with silver embossing powder seemed to stand out the best:

DSCF8707

And of course, Dazzling Diamonds glitter and a silver glimmer snowflake make it even better!  I stamped the inside sentiment with Smoky Slate, and that really looks nice on the Soft Sky cardstock.

The design team has really outdone themselves with this challenge and I can just hear the creative wheels turning out there in stampin’ land….so get your ink and paper and crank up some Christmas tunes and show us what you’ve got at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper!  Can’t wait to see them!

I apologize for scaring everyone by showing you pictures of Cassidy with a knife!!  I assure you, it was a plastic knife and I was with her each step of the way; truthfully, she doesn’t have enough strength to push the knife down to cut anything---she mostly tore the lettuce up (with Grammy’s help), so she was in no danger of injury….but I definitely will have to watch her in the future.  Here she is, the morning before she made her “wood” cake…we were making a real applesauce cake with raisins for Grampy…and that’s why she wanted to make her own cake for him as well!

Enjoy your day!
