Happy Tuesday, peeps! Are you staying cool? Wow, it’s really hot here in PA! Even Cassidy’s kiddie pool water is too warm! Well, here are some colors from Arielle that should cool you off:
I have to tell you, even though we’ve had similar color combinations, this one threw me for a loop. I made a TERRIBLE card before deciding on going really, really simple:
I stamped the shells in each of the three cool challenge colors, cut them out and popped them up on an embossed panel, then added the little museum number (what do you call that thing?) in Raspberry Ripple.
I added a mat in each of the colors and added a cheesecloth image (stamped off once) on the background. I left it sentiment-less and will add it when I decide for what occasion I will be using this!
Soooo….what will you make with these colors? Hop on over to the ColourQ blog to be inspired by the others’ creations as well!
DH is doing some construction, and Cassidy looked at those pieces of wood as gigantic building blocks:
Her imagination never stops!

Hi LeAnne! Love the seashore theme - maybe this is a subliminal message that we should get to te seashore ASAP to cool off! I think you did a great job using those challenge colors. I think I am a little intimidated to try now since the addition of Raspberry Ripple really steps it up. Although how you used it as a mat is very clever!
ReplyDeleteStay cool!
I don't think you could ever make a terrible card LeAnne!! This is perfect for summer with the pretty seashells and I like the net in the background.
ReplyDeleteWhen my cousin and I were little we played "store" with the firewood!! We made cash registers and groceries. Then we got upset when our dad's put them in the campfire! !
It's really hot here too. We were just in PA, but way out west and up on a mountain where it was actually nice and cool. I had to wear jeans and long sleeves one of the days!! Love your beachy card!!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, your card is so pretty with the colors! I love that background stamp! It's hot over my way too! Make sure the little one drinks plenty this week! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like these refreshing, cool colors, and your pretty seashell card is perfect for cooling off! WOW, it's supposed to get hotter tomorrow - we may melt! lol! I've always enjoyed watching Cassidy entertain herself with just about anything, but now she's Grampy's little carpenter apprentice too :) Cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I wasn't the only one stumped by these colors! But I've got to say they're perfect for your beachy card.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm with you on the heat. We're on day two of the latest heat wave and a trip to the beach would wonderful right about now.
Well, you might not have cared for your first card, but this one is a home run. Love it. The cheesecloth background stamp is such a fabulous touch combined with the lovely shell stamps. This card is lovely. And your wee grandgirl is growing up before our eyes. I just love seeing her each day.
ReplyDeleteSuch an imagination. She must get it from her grandmother.
ReplyDeleteI Love the card and the grid you made for the info about it. That is a great idea.
A beautiful card, love the colours. Great pics too and so sorry for my late entry to the challenge. Jx
ReplyDeleteLove your card, LeAnne, the shells are lovely in these colors! Cassidy is having what looks like a great summer! Happy Wednesday!
