Happy Thursday, peeps! Just a simple card today---does anyone really send out July 4th cards? It seems like an odd holiday for cards, but I was itching to use this new stamp set, so maybe I’ll send this to my sister, whom I don’t get to see on July 4th!!!
My first step to make this one-layer card was to make a stencil, inside which I sponged white craft ink. I then just stamped my images on top. I always forget that ink on Crumb Cake “bleeds” a wee bit, so my sentiment wasn’t as crisp as I would have liked! Here is the inside:
This fulfills several challenges:
ART challenge #2 sketch (for which I missed the deadline---drat!):
The Kraft Journal’s Make it Monday, which is to use ink, paint or markers; the CASology cue, which is “Free”; and CAS on Sunday, which is one layer! Thanks so much for visiting today! And if you have any questions, please email me!
Cassidy’s outfit matches her watermelon!

ReplyDeleteLove the block stamping behind Miss Liberty LeAnn - a great CAS design!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get freer than that, does it? Love the white block background - what a great way to define a space without adding layers. Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great one-layer patriotic card for this week's cue! I love it, and I do send July 4th cards to my family members who don't live nearby (since they can't join us for our big barbecue, I like to let them know we are thinking of them). So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, LeAnne. Thank you for joining us at CAS on Sunday. Luv, Wilma
