Happy Wednesday, wee ones! I have a quick post for you today, then I am going to be taking a little blog break as my allergies are acting up and I am feeling a bit under the weather, plus DH is almost finished remodeling my craft room and I will be busy moving all my supplies back upstairs! Yippee!
Today’s card is a wee bit different than my usual stamped card; I recently purchased a card kit featuring images of Mabel Lucie Attwell. The images are punched out, then layered with dimensionals, sort of like paper tole. Since the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge 58 is to make card with or for babies, I couldn’t resist breaking out my kit:
There is a wee bit of stamping (I wanted to do a cute poem about spring but I just didn’t have the energy, LOL!) and I made a little 3D flower:
and here you can see all the layering:
Aren’t they cute? I did some research and found that Mabel Lucie Attwell was British, and she did illustrations for many children’s books from the early 1900s to the 1950s. Sweet as can be!
I’ll see you back next week for the Paper Players challenge!
Building a tower!
cute card! I have a large collection of Memories of Yesterday figurines, they look similar to Hummels but they are Mabel Lucie Atwell so I know her work well
