Happy Tuesday and Happy New Year! Let’s pray that 2013 brings peace and happiness! I am hoping to get back into my normal routine…the last two weeks have been long and lazy, LOL! Cassidy comes back tomorrow, and I have missed her little smiling face!
For this week’s ColourQ challenge, Arielle is challenging us (and you!) to use one of our favorite palettes from all the ColourQ challenges! (You can see them all on the ColourQ blog!) For my creation today, I chose ColourQ 124, from last Valentine’s Day:
Here is my original card:
And here is today’s card:
I used a whole plethora of new SU goodies from the new Spring Mini as well as a sneak peek of a new Sale-a-Bration set! I did substitute Pool Party for the Cool Caribbean to make it more current. Check out this cute little bottle cap embellishment from the Spring Mini:
This is the 1/2” size…..the inside is stamped with a background from Collage Curios, and the little heart from Itty Bitties, which was adorned with some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details glitter. And I kept with the hearts and teacup theme with this SAB set called Patterned Occasions:
For the horizontal strip, I used a cute little embossing folder from a set called Needlepoint Border, and I embossed the Real Red panel twice with the Stripes EF, lining it up diagonally to get a “plaid” effect. There is not much Very Vanilla on here, but the Martha Stewart ribbon is red and vanilla, so it’s there---trust me! I also embossed the entire card front with the new Honeycomb EF---SO cool, I just love this one! Ooops, almost forgot; this sketch is from Paper Craft Crew, sketch #22:
Of course, I didn’t notice until too late where the sentiment was supposed to be placed…..double ooops! Oh well, I hope they forgive me!
I can’t wait to see which CQC palette is YOUR favorite….which will you choose? Share your choice and creation with us at the ColourQ blog – a fun way to start out the new year! Make sure you check out the other designers’ creations as well to get some inspiration!
One more photo from Christmas….by far, my favorite:
Have a blessed day!
So pretty!! I like the embossing and the double embossing you did with the needlepoint. Happy New Year, LeAnne!
