Yesterday was my sister’s birthday, and since she is a beekeeper, I wanted to make a card with the new Honeycomb embossing folder and the little bee image from Nature Walk:
And guess what….this qualifies for this week’s City Crafter Challenge Blog challenge, which is book paper!
I used SU’s First Edition Specialty paper, stamping the bees randomly in Stazon and coloring them with Daffodil Delight and More Mustard markers, then I ran it through the Big Shot on the last tab…..otherwise it would have torn the thinner paper:
I also sponged the raised areas of the embossing with More Mustard ink, which makes it show up a little more. I finished it with a little birthday greeting and some narrow grosgrain ribbon:
She loved it!
The little sleepyhead doing her morning “reading”!
