What day is it? It feels like Saturday or Sunday, not Wednesday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday…we did, but now I am suffering from those post-holiday blues…..I just sort of puttered around the house this morning, and finally decided STAMPING would lift my spirits! Now that I’ve played, I can concentrate on cleaning up a bit!
I needed a special thank you card, so I flipped the RetroSketches sketch 43:
so that I could play with some new goodies:
Unfortunately, this is one time where my MS glitter didn’t look so hot, but once that stuff is glued down, it’s not coming off!
This is also for the Shopping Our Stash challenge 82, which is winter but not Christmas! I used some pleated and gingham ribbons that have been in my stash a while!
Cassidy got right into the spirit of things yesterday; she actually sat through the entire church service Dana attended on Christmas eve:
and loved unwrapping her gifts on Christmas morning almost as much as playing with them:
Grampy came to the rescue on a particularly tricky package!
We even had snow on Christmas eve!
Have a blessed day! Any questions, shoot me an email!
Such a fun thank you card! Love the fun layout! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, LeAnne! Cassidy looked BEAUTIFUL for church. What a pretty dress.
ReplyDeleteAnd your card today is so sweet! I like that snowman. He has a farm/country vibe that is neat.
We had two more family gatherings today, here at my house. (divorced parents on both our sides means more gatherings) Now the house is quiet, and I'm glad to catch my breath! BTW, my stepmom loved the card you sent me. I showed her all my handmade cards received from friends...she thoroughly enjoyed 'em all, especially yours. :)
Sweet card and What a fun Christmas you must have had with a little one around.
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet in her pretty Christmas dress with the flower in her hair. What a cutie!
That photo of the little angel sitting in church is so so precious!! I'm so glad you had a nice Christmas, and your card looks very cute too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card and to say I LOVE that snowman would be an understatement. Miss Cassidy looks adorable all decked out for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteHow special to have snow on Chritmas Eve! I love the snowman. It's felt like Monday to us all day since the boys are back. We enjoyed our break and I'm feeling kind of lazy and not getting back into the swing. Maybe tomorrow! I'm glad to see that you got to your stamps and that you shared with us!
ReplyDeleteLovin' Cassidy's big flower! She's so cute! Love the tree on your porch/deck too...very festive! I think your glitter looks lovely :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous LeAnne and a great take on the sketch! Now Miss Cassidy is looking all grown up here and being such a lady, love her big flower! So glad you had a lovely Christmas, it is always a let down. It will hit me when the tree comes down.
ReplyDeletethat snowman is way cute, LeAnne! love the glitter shadows you gave him:)
ReplyDeleteok, you know that miss cassidy has totally stolen the show from your UBER-cute snowman... he's adorable... but she is a SUPERMODEL!!! (no, seriously, what a fab card, and a brilliant version of the sketch, too; thanks for SHOPPING YOUR STASH with us this week!) ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteCassidy looked gorgeous for the Christmas Eve service and good for her to set through it so well. I love the expressions on her face while opening her presents. Such joy and I bet a joy to watch her too.
ReplyDeleteYour thank you card is wonderful and so glad you were able to do some stamping. I'm sure it did lift your spirits. This adorable snowman probably helped too didn't he? I like the ribbon/snowflake treatment.
I really like what you did with this sketch, and all the interesting elements. Lots of DSP, button, ribbon, glittery snowflake all make for a yummy card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little snowman and adorable photos.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this?? I love the glitter :) And the pleated ribbon is so neat! Thanks for shopping your 'wintery' stash & playing with us this time at Shopping our Stash!!
ReplyDeleteOh that snowman is adorable! And that Cassidy is downright angelic holding Lambie in church - total sweetness!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, Loved the card and photo's. After four years away it seemed fitting that it snowed on Christmas Eve. Your card is lovely and your photo's of Cassidy just darling. What a big girl sitting so nicely in church.
ReplyDeleteA belated Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
