Happy Friday, everyone! I have a quick little post today and then I need to get ready to meet my Stamp Club girls tonight! My mind is continually on Christmas at this time of year, so when I saw the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week, I knew I wanted to do something for the holidays:
I also wanted to use the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary:
I couldn’t pass up a sketch that featured “threes”!!! So here we go:
I stamped my image from Jolly Bingo Bits on textured VV cardstock and mounted them on a Labels embosslit that I trimmed down a bit to fit the sketch better. I ran it through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, added some Riding Hood Red pleated ribbon that I “unpleated”, and then added my little sentiment from Pennant Parade. The background was wheeled with the Jolly Jingles wheel…all in all, a pretty simple card. It makes me smile with these pretty colors!
I posted yesterday that I probably wouldn’t see Cassidy in her Halloween costume, so my daughter decided to dress her up in it last night so I could see the full effect. I had a feeling Cassidy would not be real happy about it…..unfortunately I was right!
Not quite sure what she didn’t like about it, but having Mommy hold her calmed her down a bit:
And once the costume was off, she had to make an “adjustment” to her tights:
And those shoes…..well, they had to go too!
Maybe tonight will be a bit better!
Why a pic of a crying baby made me smile this morning, I have no idea! But how stinking cute is she? LOL. Great card too, LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteGreat card LeAnne and it looks like Cassidy felt the exact same way as Micah when it came to the costume.
ReplyDeleteAhh it all looked so painful. Poor little girl. I was just that her undies (tights) were in a bundle. Hee Hee
ReplyDeleteCute card. That is a great layout. I really like the bingo stamps. A lot of Christmas in one.
I have the set with the candy cane and cup and the dies that go with it. I forgot I won it. I have to get it out today.
I hope tonight goes better for Cassidy.
Very lovely card.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Cassidy. I guess she just doesn't like to play dress-up.
Her and her tights cracked me up. How funny

Oh the poor sweet thing.....it was probably scratchy on her skin. I have tears in my eyes just looking at these pictures. So glad to see her looking happier with Mom holding her though. She does look adorable in her costume.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne I love your card. This gorgeous colour combo caught my attention when I saw it yesterday and you pulled it together perfectly. Beautiful card.

ReplyDeleteSweet sketch and your card is so cute! Poor Cassidy - so sad - and it makes all of us smile :)
ReplyDeleteCute card- I like the variety of looks and textures. Those pix of Cassidy are a hoot- glad she finally settled down in the end. I hadn't commented but I'm glad you guys are ok and generally unaffected by the storm.
ReplyDeleteBy the time I finished reading this post, I'd forgotten all about your card! LOL It's really cute with the wintry elements!
ReplyDeleteI guess you just chose the wrong costume for Cassidy? She probably wanted to be herself :) The tights?! - hysterically funny :) She looks so much like her pretty mommy :)
Love your card!! Such a fabulous way to use the label die!! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...such a sad face! But her costume is fabulous! Love your card, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter is a little older than Cassidy and she complained all night about her costume. I think it's just the "feel" of things and she absolutely hates tights. Follows in her mom's footsteps, she hated them too. Super cute card. I like how you mixed the 3 stamped images for your trio! So nice to see you playing Create with Connie & Mary this week!
ReplyDeletelol...oh dear...what a wonderful memory you'll have of Cassidy and her Halloween outfit when she gets older! She looked darling!
ReplyDeleteLove your little trio of 3s! That set is perfect. Thanks for playing along with the sketch challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!
One of my daughters hated getting dressed up and did the same thing as Cassidy...made me laugh remembering!
ReplyDeleteYour card for the challenge is great! I love the greeting and ribbon treatment and how you used the die. Great job!
What fun with the Bingo Bits! Cassidy looks precious in her costume even if she doesn't like it.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I LOVE your work! What a great card! Thanks for playing with us at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteOh...the drama! LOL...she does look so very cute! And speaking of cute...GREAT card! LOVE the elements you pick and how you trimmed down the frame to fit the sketch better! Thanks for playing along in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Thanks for sharing Cassidy's adventures. She's precious & I enjoy the stories. They are fun plus they bring back fond memories of my daughters.
