Hi everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! I had fun at my upline meeting and I’ll share some photos later on in the week! Now it’s time for another sketch for Merry Monday, and Lesley has a really easy sketch for you to work with:
Since the sketch was pretty basic, I decided to use an image with a little more detail in it from the new set in the Holiday Mini called Winter Memories:
I stamped in the image in Stazon on watercolor paper and used my aquapainter and reinkers to color it in:
Of course, my glitter got everywhere….even Mr. Cardinal has a face full of it LOL! I added a simple little sentiment from Tiny Tags and some stitched ribbon and a button for my embellishment. I hope this inspires you to get started on your Christmas cards, if you haven’t already! Be sure to check out the other Merry Monday creations at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper!
Cassidy is away for a few days, so I don’t have any new photos to share, but I thought might like this video:
Anyone remember doing this when they were little? I apologize for the noise my camera makes while videoing….I have NO idea why it does that! Have a great day!
Great Christmas card and that image is wonderful. Such a fun sketch this week from Lesley.
ReplyDeleteOff to watch your video of Cassidy.
Beautiful cards and such a cute video of Cassidy and Oh, does that ever bring back memories. She sure is having a good time.
ReplyDeleteWas going to say, sounds like your camera was picking up wind noise but doesn't seem like you had much of a wind to speak of.
Thanks 4 sharing such a cute video.

ReplyDeleteLove the Cassidy video. today would be the perfect laundry day, and I could run under the clothesline, too.
Lovely image! Your coloring is spectacular and the Mr. Cardinal must have thought the glitter would make him more attractive to Mrs. Cardinal!

ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous. Your watercolouring is perfect. I am really bad with my aquapainter and reinkers:(. I love the added glitter and the way you tucked part of the tag under the circle.
Beautifully colored! Your creative use of the punches for the sentiment is so fun!
