Played with a couple of challenges today: the iSpy Sketches sketch #28 from Mary Brown:
and the Make It Monday from The Kraft Journal, which is “Needle & Thread”. I pulled out some vintage MME papers, buttons, my sewing machine, needle and thread, lace, and some shabby seam binding to create my card:
A few snippets of this and that, and I was done! I used a variety of sentiments and stamps from PTI as well as a couple dies; here’s the inside:
and a closeup:
I just love that background paper…..it’s so homey! Be sure to come back tomorrow for my Paper Players creation!! Have a great day! Any questions, shoot me an email!
Enjoyin’ a “sickle” after a hard hour’s play in the puddles:
Great card. All the added elements really work well together.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card. I'm thinking I need to be on YOUR mailing list!! Or maybe I just need a "sicle" too!!
ReplyDeleteLove that sentiment! Handmade *is* best! Also loving the pic of Cassidy sitting out in your GORGEOUS yard. My oh my! So lush!

ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely LeAnne. :-) I'm a MME paper addict and you've used some of my favorites here. The little extra elements really work well together to round out the card. Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Kraft Journal!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a gorgeous card. I love the handmade theme with all the buttons and that scrumptious scrunched seam binding bow. Love those sweet little hearts too. Beautiful stitching on this card too. The inside sentiment is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSweet Cassidy pictures. I love her butterfly looking flower in her hair.
Your garden behind her looks so pretty and inviting.
Beautiful card. that MME is one of my all time faves. You put it all together so well. thanks for sharing at The Kraft Journal!
ReplyDeleteLove the MME papers and all your diddies (lace, buttons, ribbon)! She's a sweetie and love your patio area! Thanks for playing at I Spy!
ReplyDeleteLOL - LeAnne, I'm sitting here trying to leave comments for all the iSpy cards, and I thought about you and said to myself ~ "I'm going to go over to her blog as soon as I finish these" and here you are! Fabulous card for iSpy ~ o happy to have you play along! Hope you and Miss Cassidy are doing well - she is really growing up! I hope she's not as headstrong as Maisie is turning out to be - LOL! When we were praying last night I asked Maisie to thank Jesus for one thing and she said "no thank you"... at least she is polite when she's being oppositional!
ReplyDeleteButtons, lace and seam binding oh my! Absolutely lovely LeAnne! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at iSpy Sketches!
