Paper Players 87

DSCF0003-1

Happy Sunday to you all!  It’s been a wonderful week, weather-wise; I hope you all are enjoying it!  Today the Paper Players have another challenge for you; it’s Nance’s turn to be the hostess and she’s got a clean and simple challenge for us:

This was not the first card I came up with…..but after seeing some of the other Paper Players’ cards this week, I thought I would change gears (no pun intended) and go with a different design!  Buttons are probably my favorite embellishment for a card, but I haven’t been using them as much lately because of the bulk!  But I threw that hindrance right out the window with my “little boy” card today:

PP87-LeAnne - 2

I apologize for the photo quality…for some reason, I just couldn’t get the colors quite right!  The stamp set is I Dig You; Bashful Blue is the card base, and  I  inked up my Square Lattice embossing folder with Soft Suede ink before running the Soft Suede “mountain”  through my Big Shot to give it some texture.   I think this will be a perfect birthday card for one of my little nephews!  And stop back tomorrow, when I’ll share the original card I had made for Nance’s challenge.

I sure hope that you’ll motor on over to the Paper Players blog and show us your CAS buttoned-up creation!  You may be chosen as a Cut Above, or even our Headliner for the week!  Have fun!

  30. When I first saw your dump truck card spilling with "dirt" buttons...I was in love!! This is SUCH a great card and all of the extra special touches, like the embossed and inked "dirt" with the button wheels. All of this cuteness is just so much to take in! I loved your first butterfly rainbow card, but you didn't disappoint when you changed it up! Have a blessed weekend!
