PPA118 & CCMC174

DSCF9335

Happy Thursday!  FIRST, I want to tell everyone that there is one more day to comment on this post to win blog candy, as I will be selecting a winner tomorrow, November 4!  So be sure to leave a comment with contact info, if you haven’t already done so!  Thanks so much, too, to all my readers and followers, new and old!  It’s so good to hear from everyone!

Unfortunately, I needed TWO more sympathy cards; Pals Paper Arts had an interesting monochromatic challenge for one of them today:

PPA118

and I used the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary

CCMC174

So here’s my card:

I had already had Day of Gratitude out on my desk for another project, so just used it again! The Neutrals Patterns DP came in handy for choosing my background papers as all these colors were conveniently there…..I usually opt for polka dots, so it was refreshing to use the stripes.  I also had the “sueded” strip from another project.  I had crimped a piece of Soft Suede with my crimper, then pulled the layers apart.  Since the crimping sort of tied together with the striped paper, I simply added a little color by dabbing on my stamp pad.  I also dabbed some River Rock on the velveteen ribbon to color coordinate it a bit better.  I chose to use textured paper for both the card and the circular element; I really love the look it imparts, almost like fabric:

And here’s the inside:

The Petite Pairs set is really great for sentiments that match outside & inside!  Love it!  Thanks for visiting today….stop back tomorrow to see who the winner is of my blog candy!

Decisions, decisions…..should I choose the ladle or the big ice cream scoop?

For now, I’ll choose the ladle!

  • Paper:  River Rock Text, Very Vanilla Text & Smooth, Neutrals Patterns, Soft Suede
  • Ink:  River Rock, Early Espresso, Soft Suede
