Happy Tuesday! That means it’s time for ColourQ! Check out the stunning Christmas angel that inspired Arielle this week:
I had lots of ideas in mind for this….but not much time (or mojo, for some reason!) so I just pulled out a very, very old (1995) SU stamp called Country Angel:
She is stamped with Stazon on watercolor paper and colored with inks and Twinkling H2O sparkly paint! You can’t really tell here, but her wings are shimmery blue (as well as glittered):
And she’s carrying a little glittery star ornament that’s been sitting on my desk forever! I also put some glitter on her little banner:
I love watercoloring but don’t do it enough, so this was a fun challenge for me….and I love blue, too, so that made it even MORE fun! I hope you’ll play along with this angelic challenge….wing on over to the CQC blog to see the other designer’s creations and share yours with us too! This card is also for Shirley’s Christmas card blog hop!!!
Here is my little Christmas angel; our first shot this season at a photo with Santa. That didn’t work so well; she was much happier just running around with the children!
Could that be Santa coming down the stairs???
Uh-oh---let me outta here!
Better luck next time! Thanks for visiting today!Wee Details:

So sweet ~ all of this LeAnne ~ the 'country Christmas' card and little Cassidy ~ oh how I remember those days, they so badly want to see him....and yet....not so much!!!! lol ~ enjoy your day :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love it when people use those retired SU stamps!! They are classics, and this has proven to be outstanding and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat job and thank you for sharing!
Poor baby! Santa is a scary guy! And I love to see retired sets used - especially since I have so many and they get neglected! Love the country angel - just beautiful! Wish I could watercolor like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I think I have that stamp. I have to look. I think that is the first time I saw Cassidy not happy. I think she is a very smart little girl to not like a stranger that wants to hold her on his lap.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card LeAnne! Love the colors and inspiration for this card :)
ReplyDeleteAnd poor Cassidy! She looks adorable but that old guy is scary!
Beautiful card. And the blues are great for the angel. When my sons were small, they were not fans of Santa either; never really took a liking to him. They seemed to prefer Mrs. Santa.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty LeAnne! Beautiful coloring! Aren't all little kids afraid of Santa? And the Easter Bunny. LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!!! your granddaughter is SO cute!!!! The look on her face is priceless!!!
ReplyDeletePretty card! Love this blue color theme!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you can pull out your good old sets, don't you? This little angel is so cute, and I love her glitzy star ornament! I'm sure Cassidy will be more into Santa when she's older. It goes so fast though... All my boys went to see him last year, and this year only the little one wants to go!! :( **sniff sniff**
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card, LeAnne! I love that vintage stamp and that sparkly star! And Cassidy looks so adorable in her checked dress (and even when she's not so happy with Santa and Mrs. Claus). :-)
ReplyDeleteSo Pretty LeAnne! Your little angel too - before Santa! Hope your stamp camp went well.
ReplyDeleteWow! LeAnne, your card is gorgeous! I completely agree, you need to watercolor more often because you are awesome at it. The glittery star and trim dress the image up beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of beautiful...little miss in her ladybug dress is just too CUTE for words! That shot of her with Santa is priceless. Poor thing! I really wish that pretty dress came in my size, too. Hugs! :)
Hi Leanne! Your card is gorgeous but the real angel in this post is your sweet Cassidy! The pic of her looking around and up the stairs is simply priceless!
ReplyDeleteThank you for bringing back memories with this angel. She is beautiful and the star is a perfect touch!!! I have to say, the second picture of Cassidy reminds me when I get a hitch in my giddy-up!!! She's a STAR for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card! Love the star she is holding!
ReplyDeleteWow that is an Oldie but Goodie stamp set. You have really made it look so modern with the star, card colors and the background! You have been stamping for a long time to have this set. It is beautiful. Thanks for joining my Winter Wednesday Christmas Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Shirley
Oh, she looks DARLING! I love that outfit. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour card is sweet also. ;)
