Happy Sunday, everyone! Well, fall is in the air here in PA! The Paper Players challenge today is from our lovely Ann, and she has challenged us to use a plant or an animal on our CAS creation today!
Lesley also has a new challenge blog called Freshly Made Sketches. The sketches are not necessarily clean and simple, but they do need to be “clean”…no distressing or ruffles & frills! Here is the sketch for this week:
I needed a thank you card, so I pulled out some Spice Cake paper in a color I don’t normally use and challenged myself! Here we go:
The image is from Array of Sunshine (hostess set) and the background is a retired jumbo wheel. The sentiment, stamped on a tag punched from the Jewelry Tag punch, is from Easy Events. I liked this sketch SO much, I made another:
This uses French Foliage with a bow made from the new Quilted Cherry Cobbler ribbon and a glimmer brad:
and the leaf is heat embossed on Vellum cardstock:
This card is also for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week, which is a fall theme.
And finally, a third (I was on a roll):
I was originally going to use Trendy Trees for my focal image, but I already had Easy Events sitting on my desk and I liked it with the combination of trees from Funky Forest, so I just watered colored the image in the same Old Olive. I didn’t put the little element on the horizontal panel as in the sketch, but I am hoping the little heart counts! I am not going to list all my ingredients, so if you have a question, please feel free to email me!
Thanks for visiting today! I hope you have a chance to play with the Paper Players this week, and you may even have your card be featured on our blog! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I had the pleasure of going to a local fair with my friend Cathy on Friday—it was a beautiful chilly day, perfect for looking at cows, sheep and pumpkins!
This is Cassidy at last year’s fair! How she’s changed!
Have a blessed day!
Wowwwie, SUCH beautiful cards, LeAnne!!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful cards, LeAnne! Your Spice Cake card is so pretty and serene, while the Trendy Trees card is adorable. However, the gorgeous fall leaf card, with the rich colors and elegant bow, steals the show!
ReplyDeleteAll three cards are gorgeous! That really is a fun sketch! Great work, LeAnne! And your little pumpkin has grown way too fast! She seems like such a happy, precious girl!!! Hug her for a granny wanna be, okay?
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Love them and what a difference a year can make.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful cards, LeAnne! You're a triple threat! :) Love the first card, especially as I'm partial to anything Spice Cake lately. I'm so partial to it that I can't even bring myself to open my pack yet. :)
ReplyDeleteYou had the best "pumpkin" of the bunch!! Cassidy. Is she healthy now? How did you make the window and get the punches to line up perfectly?
ReplyDeleteAll three cards are fabulous, but the first is my favorite. I love the green in this paper and you've paired it perfectly with the brown. The white on white layer is pretty great too!
ReplyDeleteYou, by far, have the cutest little 'pumpkin' around. My how she's grown.
oh my I love these!! I really could use some inspiration and shove to stamp again! HELP! I think I should just pick stuff out of the mini and go for it. Wish I hadn't left my stamping friends behind when I moved! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas :)
ReplyDeleteBTW love the pictures of Cassidy
First of all...love Cassidy's little outfit...it is super cute! Your cards are all gorgeous but my favourite is the PP one! Love the muted colours and that Array stamp set! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches too LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lesley
LeAnne, I just love your challenge card and how you created additional cards from the great layout. The colors are perfect for fall and the little knot around the leaf is a perfect detail. Your "little pumpkin" is growing into a beautiful little girl. Ah, those eyes!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, all three cards are truly beautiful! I love the pattern paper on the first and the bold leaf on the second!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
Whoa, LeAnne! Not one...not two...but three fabulous cards! Guess what? I love them all! That sketch really is wonderful and I love how you showed the versatility with three completely different cards. That leaf embossed on vellum...*swoon*...I LURVE it!! Look at that sweet little pumpkin, too! Eeek!!! She's a cutie!
ReplyDeletePs: thanks for playing at HSS this week too! Big hugs! :)

ReplyDeleteWow! Three cards and all of them are gorgeous! I love them all, but the first is my favorite. I think Spice Cake is the best DSP! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness you were a bizzy bee! Gorgeous cards one and all. You really rocked the FS sketch! My favorite is the Cherry Cobbler leaf card--embossed on vellum, be still my heart! Gorgeous!
