Gift Givers Christmas

DSCF6611

This season’s Holiday Mini has busted my budget with all the fun things inside!  This cute set, Gift Givers, has such sweet images that are easy to color and they all coordinate with punches!  This week’s Christmas cards (I had to do TWO!) began with this sweet little girl with the new Shaker Frames and Mica Glitter:

I am still on a learning curve with the Shaker Frames…basically they are little circles of foam with sticky strip on both sides; they adhere to a window sheet on one side and to your image on the other; beads, glitter or whatever can go inside!  You should see the fun page that Erica Cerwin did with…..well, you’ll just have to go see it HERE!   I used the new Domestic Goddess DP for mine along with Pool Party and Pink Pirouette cardstocks.

The little stocking image gives a totally different look when stamped with vintage colors of Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke:

That sweet new Stocking Punch makes quick work of this image, which I paper pieced and watercolored:

This card used the Fall to Layout 157 from the Clean & Simple blog:

I actually trimmed a portion from the side front of my card and wheeled the new Sassy Sparkles jumbo wheel on the inside; can you see it here?

I also used some Spice Cake DP and a new mini brad on my Tiny Tags tag.  Whee, I love these cards!

Yesterday was our annual church picnic.  Cassidy felt well enough to attend, although the pulled pork and barbecue chicken were a little beyond her palate; cheerios were more her style:

All those little o’s just tuckered her out!  Enjoy your day!

  3. Glad to see your little one is improving. On her tippy toes the other day . . .made me think your granddaughter is a budding ballerina! Love your treatment of the Gift Giver tags.

  4. LeAnne,

Your shaker card is perfect! Love the scalloped edge around it and the colors are unusual for Christmas but perfectly executed by your creative hands. You "da bomb" and a great teacher. Thanks for sharing. I also love the little stocking and its polka dotted cuteness!

    Blessings, Martha

  6. Both of your cards are so cute! The little girl is perfect with the domestic goddess dsp & pink pirouette. I love the shaker effect. I haven't tried the shakers yet, have been a bit confused about them myself. They give such a cute look though. I love the stocking card as well. I've been eying that stamp set in the holiday mini also. Think I'll need to add it to my next order.
