ColourQ104

DSCF8324

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It’s ColourQ day, and today is a SPECIAL CQC day! It’s our second birthday! Arielle challenged us to CASE a prior CQC Queen while using the palette from today:

I perused the queens, and let me tell you, it was a tough decision! Just the fact that they were chosen as queen means their work is super! I finally narrowed it down to a CAS card my sweet friend Colleen did; here is her card:

(Clicking on the photo will take you to the CQC post itself!) And here is my take on her creation:

CQC104-LeAnne

This is a wonderful, basic layout that can be used for so many occasions! Since the colors weren’t really fall colors, I chose to make some flowers with some pretty BG papers and my Blossom nestabilities. Since the Basic Grey papers have the design only on one side, I cut out two of each, adhered them together and then assembled my flower so I wouldn’t have white showing on the back side. I used some Polka Dot In Color brads as the centers, and continued the polka dot theme with my ribbon and embossing folder.

The sweet little sentiment on the front is from Friendly Phrases, and I used a sentiment from CHF and a leaf from Unity for the inside:

I hope you’ll help the ColourQ celebrate their second birthday by using these beautiful colors in YOUR creation! Hop on over to the CQC blog to share it with us!
