Yesterday I was playing around with some vintage elements I bought at my LSS and realized they fit the Color Throwdown challenge this week, so I went with it! It also uses yesterday’s sketch challenge 344 from SCS:
I am not sure you can actually see the sketch for all the elements, though! Here you go:
I really enjoyed making this card, seeing all the “B” items I could come up with: bees, baby carriage, bow, button, Bingo, believe, and B-day! Here is why I had bees on the brain:
We discovered this hanging near our driveway a few days ago! Yikes! Thankfully it is up fairly high so the hornets aren’t bothered by us, or us by them! It’s really fascinating to see, but I’ll wait until winter to get a really close-up look! Meanwhile, here are some closer views of the card:
AND, I’ve been doing some sewing! I found this pattern yesterday while perusing Gwenny Penny, and dug into my fabric drawer, got some Mary Engelbreit material I had stashed away and made my wee one a “bapron”:
Very helpful for those messy meals!
And guess what’s on the bias tape? Yep, BEES!
And in case you’re wondering why her hair looks funny:
Thanks for visiting today! If you have any questions about the products I used in my card, just shoot me an email!
Ooooooh, love all the cool details on this!....the crinkled up *believe* sentiment with the crinkly ribbon, the round bee tab, large scallops along the left....AWESOME job with the sketch!!

ReplyDeleteYou exhaust me. HOW can you make such beautiful cards and keep your house so sterilized for your angel to crawl and taste the furniture! (come on..you KNOW she does when you're not looking) And the angel is always spotless.
ReplyDeleteThere ARE two of you, right? Please tell me there are.
And I put two cards up on my site last night!
