Happy almost-4th of July to everyone! I was doing a happy dance when I saw Jaydee’s Paper Players challenge today—Christmas in July! Yippee!
That fits right in with my one-Christmas-card-a-week challenge to myself! I pulled out a set from last year’s mini that sadly, did not make it into the big catalog…..but I am keeping Jolly Old Saint Nick around anyway:
Can you see all his glittering finery?
Oh, he’s a cutie! Dazzling Diamonds and Chunky Red Glitter really make him a keeper! He’s stamped on Shimmery White paper and watercolored with an aquapainter; his hat was stamped on Riding Hood Red cardstock and paper pieced so that no white would peek out from under the glitter. I loosely used the sketch from this week’s SCS SC339, just changing it up a tiny bit! It’s a great CAS sketch! The sentiment is from Four the Holidays, and I didn’t have any red glimmer brads, so I colored a pink one with a Copic marker:
And here’s the inside:
I hope everyone has a safe & happy 4th of July! Make sure you slide on over to the Paper Players to see what the other designers have created for Christmas this week, and welcome Tui Nathan as our guest designer for this month!
