I made a quick card for DH for Father’s Day---I had all my other cards made, then realized I forgot him! Ooops….well, technically he’s not my father, but you know….! Anyway, the sketch from Pals Paper Arts was perfect for the ship image from The Open Sea. Here’s the sketch:
And here’s the card:
There is nowhere my hubby would rather be than on his sailboat….or any sailboat, for that matter! So I was quite happy to see this stamp set in the mini catalog! I was a little tired of using the companion DP so I pulled out some Newsprint paper and just used vanilla and black as my colors:
I made a sailor’s knot based on Barbara’s tutorial here; and Word Play made the perfect inside sentiment:
Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge---and a non-Father’s Day card! Thanks for visiting!
(Not too happy---her bottom was sliding out of the back of the rocker!!!!)
- Stamps: The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes

This is stunning! Black/white and black/vanilla are really become two of my favorite color combinations; they just look so elegant and make such beautiful cards when paired together.
