PPA98 Open Sea

DSCF0066-1

I made a quick card for DH for Father’s Day---I had all my other cards made, then realized I forgot him! Ooops….well, technically he’s not my father, but you know….! Anyway, the sketch from Pals Paper Arts was perfect for the ship image from The Open Sea. Here’s the sketch:

And here’s the card:

There is nowhere my hubby would rather be than on his sailboat….or any sailboat, for that matter! So I was quite happy to see this stamp set in the mini catalog! I was a little tired of using the companion DP so I pulled out some Newsprint paper and just used vanilla and black as my colors:

I made a sailor’s knot based on Barbara’s tutorial here; and Word Play made the perfect inside sentiment:

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge---and a non-Father’s Day card! Thanks for visiting!

  6. Here's another vote for that elegant color combination. It seems that you have made THE perfect card for your DH. Hope he has a great day and gets to go sailing, after he opens your card, of course :) That rocking chair wasn't smooth sailing for Cassidy, though, LOL!
