It’s Tuesday and that means it’s ColourQ time! Here is the fun color challenge Arielle has given us today:
These colors could lend themselves to so many images---I hope you’ll take the challenge and put your spin on them. I chose a little digital image from Arielle along with the Mojo Monday 196 sketch:
and here’s my card:
For some reason, I really struggled with this card—it just didn’t come together as easily as I would have liked! I did some paper piecing with Poppy Parade Patterns DP on the little quilt as well as the pincushion from SU’s Sew Suite set; some embossing and a punched border and I printed the sentiment teeny tiny so I could use the sentiment flag from Laura! I think it bothers me that the pins cause my Brilliant Blue panel to pucker…..but, as my boss used to say, “It is what it is!”
Thanks for visiting today! Any questions, give me a shout!
Leanne...I would never have guessed you struggled! Such a sweet, whimsical card! Love the color combo too!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card...I adore that scrunched up baby face!
ReplyDeleteTotal cuteness, Leanne! You? Struggle? Nah.... Great card, dear friend, and that little sweetie is growing up entirely too fast!!!
ReplyDeleteThe struggle was well worth the effort...love this crisp red, white, and blue beauty, LeAnne! And thank you for your very kind comment!
ReplyDeleteLeanne, this is a great card...guess I need that pincushion...ha-ha! I'm really enjoying getting your blog notification daily! Thanks! And I love that face!! :D
ReplyDelete..LOVE YOUR BLOG! ...just a thoought about your pucker. Did you stick the pins through the back threads of the button, then use a glue dot? That may help. OMG I can't believe I'm trying to give advice to the "master"!! Forgive me!
ReplyDeleteCassidy's sassy face cracks me up today! Hee Hee! For struggling with this card, it sure came out beautifully. I love all of the fun details you added, as always and the colors looks gorgeous together. Very pretty! Hugs! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to print off this pic to tape to my computer - her little face just brightens my day.
Hugs to you both!
What a CUTIE that Cassidy is. What a look! You sure catch some darling shots. BTW - I like your card too LeAnne. I don't see these pukers you're referring too? I like the brick - is it a texture plate? Going to Laura's link now. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous!!! I love it! I love the pins!!! I will have to try that. Cassidy is just soooo cute. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteHi LeAnne, I fit those pages in there by trimming my 12X12 paper down a little before I start so there is more room in the page protector. And I always stand my albums up straight instead of laying them down. That way they don't get squished.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! too cute!
What a darling card and your embellishments are just perfection! Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Leanne. The colors are just so fresh (perfect for summer) and you used them so well.
