One Sketch, Two Cards

DSCF6177

I finally had a chance to play with the sketch from Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays with my friend Linda.  Here’s the cute sketch:

SKETCH 1

and here’s my first card, using SU only:

I stamped the images from Sweet Stems on watercolor paper and colored them with Melon Mambo markers and a blender pen; the jumbo wheel Friendly Words and the little sentiment from Tiny Tags make this a nice cheerful card; I’ll add an appropriate sentiment on the inside when I need it.  I just love the little pearl and flower button accent:

My second card uses the same sketch and is also for the JayGee challenge 7, which is a retro 50’s theme:

Vintage winner

I had gotten these vintage images a long time ago and was hoarding them, but I dusted them off for my little retro card:

Ooh, I just love these!  I have the theme from “Happy Days” running through my head!

A few little images from a CS set and a PTI sentiment and I have another fun card to add to my stash!

Have a beautiful day---if you have any questions about my cards and the supplies I’ve used, let me know!

  1. Good Golly, but your cards are SO stinkin' fabulous! You totally make me wonder why on earth I don't stamp more. And love those fun vintage images, too. Gorgeous, gorgeous work!

  2. Both nice cards, but the vintage one has so much personality! Glad you dusted off those images. I know what you mean about hoarding something for so long, then, you just decide it's time to use it. Cute baby pic, too!

  4. I see that you won some blog candy on another blog; congratulations! I love your blog, AND the baby, but I rarely comment cuz I figure you don't need to see my chatter all the time but this time I had to say something. btw, I have those nostalgic images, too, and have now been inspired to drag them out & use them; thanks!

    a pearl centered flower
    and get that Friendship
    wheel out soon)

  7. That pearl and flower accent really is pretty, but so is the rest of the card! (and those big baby blues aren't bad either!) :)
