Happy Saturday! I am a little late with my weekly Christmas card, but I made it! This is a real CAS one using Baja Breeze and Whisper White with a vintage image I got at the Allentown Stamp Show. I just love silhouettes, and I think this qualifies for the Jingle Belles challenge 19, the Spirit of Christmas Past! Here we go:
This is notecard-sized; I dug out an embossing folder I hadn’t used in forever; used the Northern Frost diecut for my snowflake, which I tapped into a Versamark pad, added some Heat & Stick powder, heated it briefly, then sprinkled on some white MS glitter and heated again. So pretty!
I also learned that you can color a SU glimmer brad with Copics! Woohoo! This brad was silver and I used BG72 to achieve a pretty good match to Baja Breeze! My sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I love the retro look of it!
Thanks so much for visiting today! If you have any questions about any of the items I used on my card, just give me a shout! And don’t forget to stop back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge!
Whoever invented those little puffs was a genius!
So pretty and I love that image! Great colours too :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas card. Love the stamp. Your granddaughter is absolutely precious. I too think the puffs are perfect for little hands.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic snowflake die cut ... where did you find it? ... love it all coated in glitter ... so perfect for that fabulous silhouette image ... thanks so much for going vintage with us at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeletewell i had a whole comment ready for your brilliant C&S-but-vintage xmas card... and then i saw the sweet little cereal eater and i was distracted by all the CUUUUUUUUTE!!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeletebut seriously, i ♥LOVE♥ this card...i love that it's soooooooo minimal and yet still captures the vintage vibe perfectly! FABULOUS!
Gorgeous card LeAnne! You are so great at posting those darling Cassidy pics. What a CUTIE she is!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne,
ReplyDeleteLove this and it would be great to make a bunch since it is CAS! What is the maker of that stamp? Since we live in the snowy, cold part of the country, I would love to add it to my collection. Also the snowflake die cut. I do not have one and that one is so nice. Thanks for sharing your awesome talent with us.
Love and blessings, Martha
PS We always used Cheerios since we ate them too. They are great for travel too.LOL
So soft and serene--love the icy color combination and the sparkly snowflake is to die for! Lol, puffs and cherrios were a mainstay in Arden's diet for a looooong time! Looks like Cassidy digs 'em too!
ReplyDeleteOh adorable! She is so cute eating all by here self.
ReplyDeleteI love the card too.
