More Christmas, CAS

DSCF8014

Since I already had this piece of Deck the Halls DP left on my desk from yesterday’s card, as well as some scraps from playing around with the Northern Frost diecut, I thought I would experiment and make a little CAS:

DSCF8012

Hmmm, I think that bottom right corner looks a little naked…..but for a diecut scrap that I normally would have thrown out, I think it translated into a pretty nice card!  The card base is Sahara Sand, a neglected color in my stash, but it looked nice with the script on the DP; the white is actually Shimmery White, but of course, you can’t see the shimmer here!  Maybe I’ll put some pearls down in that corner….what do YOU think I should do???  I’d love your input!  Thanks for visiting today!!!  And here’s your daily Cassidy dose:

  • Paper:  Sahara Sand, Shimmery White, Cherry Cobbler, Deck the Halls DP

  1. I really like this great card with the soft script working the background! Honestly, does that adorable little Cassidy ever cry? She's always grinnin' and smilin' so much that I just want to hug her!!!

  2. Hi LeAnne,

I keep looking at this gorgeous Christmas card. Honestly, it is beautiful just as it is with such rich color and contrast. Some cards are more simple and some are very busy. The only thing you might do is to add a soft flourish in VersaMark on the white to make it look a little swirly but not really adding anything big or noticeable. What do you think?

    Love and Blessings, Martha

  3. Since it is a CAS card I say leave it alone-perfect as is. Old habits are hard to break sometimes!!

I agree about that cute baby-always smiling.

  4. This is a beautiful CAS card - what a great way to use the die cut scrap. Personally, I'd leave that corner as is! Then again, I am the less is more type! Another cute pic of Cassidy!

  5. She looks great in purple.
Don't do another thing to that card! It is perfect the way it is. If you had not told us it was a scrap pile creation, none of us would know!
