ColourQ 59-Another Wreath

DSCF8068

Gee whiz, I am on a wreath kick when it comes to ColourQ  colors-I did one last week too!

My friend Linda told me she stamped a wreath using a leaf stamp and I remembered I had done one last year, and thought it would be fun to recreate that using this week’s colors.  What do you think:

I used a retired rub-on for my sentiment, which I messed up, but hopefully the recipient won’t notice!  I also added some little sparkly stick-on things to the wreath; I was having trouble with a couple of them sticking.  Then I decided to remove them because I didn’t really like them….do you think I could get them off?  NO!  So they’re there to stay:

The elements of the wreath all come from  SU’s Autumn Days set, stamped in the challenge colors (some stamped off); the little button embellishment at the top is a piece of Old Olive punched with the Designer Label punch, then I squished it into my OO ink pad for a rustic effect.  I also used my Color Spritzer and a Crumb Cake marker for some “aging”.

  8. Well you can just keep on making wreaths to your heart's content, because they are fabulous! I love the way you stamped all of the different leaves and colors to create this! And I'll have to remember to try "squishing" my cardstock onto an ink pad--I like the way that turned out!
