TSSC141 and Fun In Baltimore

DSCF6072

A late-night post for me!  I don’t think I have done one of Mary Jo’s Techno Stamper Monday Lunchtime Sketches in a long time…maybe ever! And here it is Sunday night, so I thought I’d better hurry up!  This is sketch #141:

TSSC141

and since I needed a baby congrats card for my dear friend who also became a grandmother to a new little granddaughter last month, I made this:

I so wish SU hadn’t gotten rid of Creamy Caramel….that poor teddy bear just doesn’t look quite right in Crumb Cake.  I will have to voice my opinion about that!  The images are from Every Little Bit---I have gotten my money’s worth from that set already!  Did a little paper piecing, some embossing, added a little button and it’s ready to go.  Too bad my friend is in New York, I’m in Pennsylvania, and her DGD is in Texas….I need to get them all on Facebook!!!

Since I have this set already featured, I thought I’d also share a little gift I made for the girls in my downline and sideline who went to the Baltimore Regionals yesterday:

This was a really simple Post-It note holder that I literally whipped up in a few minutes; the post-it was in an apple shape:

and I thought the pie image on the front was a fun tie-in!  I also did some others with different images and DP, but of course, forgot to take pictures!  We had  a good time—made some great projects, and I even met up with my very first Stampin’Up demonstrator, Christin Rocha:

She lives near Baltimore and was a helper!  It was so great to see her!

So I start babysitting my DGD tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll have some new pictures for you….maybe less stamping, though!  We’ll see!  Here is a sweet one to say nighty night:

  2. Ok, first off this card is just too cute. FYI: I would have picked it for my top three if it was up before I did it, lol!. I love how you used the circles on the main layer. Fabulous way to use those tiny stamps. Next, the post it note is too fun, love the apple notes inside--cute. And then finally and most importantly--what a beautiful baby! How lucky are you. And you get to babysit too-enjoy every moment! Thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge this week! And yes you have played before but it has been a long time. Nice to have you back!
