A Fun Surprise!

Wow, my head is spinning from all the excitement at the CTD blog!  If you haven’t played yet, you need to!  Wonderful prizes are at stake!  You can find out all about it here.  My head was spinning, also, when I got an email from Michelle at Card Patterns, telling me that this card had won that week and I was the guest designer for today!  WOW!  So here is the sketch that she gave me to play with:

and I already had a thought in mind for the City Crafters challenge CCCB12 this week, which is Some Like it Hot!!   I wanted to use some of the cute Cosmo Cricket papers I had laying around, and I knew I had a bikini stamp (have no idea who the manufacturer is) I had gotten from Tammy, so here is my version of a summery, hot, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini card (again, I am dating myself with these songs!  Yikes!):

Since the patterns are busy, I kept the whole thing rather simple.  I think the images were actually supposed to be underwear, but I cut the straps off and made them into a bathing suit!!  Creative license, you know!  The button is from my grandma’s button can…..I am sure in her wildest dreams, she would never have imagined that this button would end up on a bikini card!!!  The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne’s Shore Thoughts….cute beachy set.  This also fulfills the Little Red Wagon challenge this week, to use Nesties, as well as SCS’s WT278, to use yellow!
