Welcome back to the second Paper Players challenge! This week Lesley has chosen a beautiful photo as our color inspiration:
Aren’t those flowers gorgeous? I found that I don’t have many floral stamps! I guess I keep thinking that I do, so I don’t buy any more! Have to remedy that!! Anyway, I pulled out Fresh Cuts, a stamp that hadn’t seen the light of day for quite a while and used the latest Mojo Monday sketch:
I realized about halfway through stamping that my panel was a bit large for the sketch, but I was not about to redo it! So I made the card a bit larger to fit a larger envelope I had, and to allow the sketch to fit. The main panel is stamped in Bashful Blue craft ink: and some of the flowers were watercolored in. I added accents in Old Olive and Pacific Point, as are the background panels of the card itself. The ribbon loops are layered Bashful Blue taffeta over wide white organdy. The sentiment is from a SAB set, Whimsical Words; I added a simple birthday sentiment from On Your Birthday on the inside:
We hope that you’ll play along with the other Paper Players this week! Check out Lesley’s Always Playing With Paper blog to find out all the details, to see what the other designers have some up with, and to play along yourself! We’re excited that we had so many responses to the first challenge, and we can’t wait to see even more for this one!
