OLW4

DSCF7856

I won’t go into the frustration of making this very simple, one-layer be-ribboned card for Susan’s challenge OLW4.  Let’s just say that if you don’t keep your acrylic blocks (and your hands) clean, you WILL have mishaps in your stamp room!!  Okay, on to the card.

This little sweetie uses a SU stamp from 1991…..can you believe that?  I got the set called Sea Shell at a yard sale.  Perfect for little note cards.  The sentiment is PTI; the ribbon was salvaged from a wedding gift my daughter recently received.  I even added some Twinkling H2Os to the image after reading Susan’s post here, but you can’t see the pretty little shimmer in my photo.  I must say that my BowEasy does make a nice bow, once you get the hang of it!  We aren’t total friends, but at least we are not fighting each other!  Thanks for visiting today!

All products SU unless noted otherwise.

  • Stamps:  Sea Shell, Autumn Abundance, PTI
  • Paper:  Very Vanilla
  • Ink:  Regal Rose, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
  • Acc:  Satin Ribbon, Corner Rounder, Twinkling H2Os, Boweasy, Aquapainter

  1. Oh, my! 1991?!?!?! That is awesome. Just goes to show that good design is good design no matter how old it is!

  4. A perfect OLC. They really are harder to make than they should be, aren't they? :P At least, for me they are! NO extra layer to cover a boo-boo, I guess...

  5. You are so funny. I have a bow easy. I like it but I don't use it very much. Your right at least we aren't fighting each other.
I love your little card. I want to hear what to hear the stamp mishap.

  7. What a great card. So simple and yet so lovely. I use my Bow Easy for nearly every bow I make and it's finally getting easier.

  8. I know what you mean about simple cards sometimes taking forever (with smudges or crooked stampings!!) An adorable note card LeAnne! love the colors and that great shell - and the ribbon accents it wonderfully!

  11. LeeAnne.... I'm with you on the acrylic blocks, not keeping them clean and having oooopsies on your cards! Been there. Done that! I LOVE this image and your bow is to die for! This truly is a beautiful card. The two shades of pink are amazing

  12. This is stunning, Leann! And oh I know how frustrating one-layer cards can be - they looks so simple, but sometimes the work that goes into them is unbelievable!
