Whee! Another Wednesday, another Color Throwdown! This week Barbara is our hostess and she has picked these nice springy colors, using October Afternoon’s Thrift Shop as her inspiration:
Remember, you don’t have to have these exact colors to play. Hop on over to the CTD blog to find out all the details so you can play too! I combined my colors with Karen’s Sweetest Sketch #68:
as well as Our Daily Bread’s Stamping in Time challenge, which was to use something old, something new and something given to you! Fun! So here we go:
This card is a bit larger than the standard size; it’s about 6x4.5”, in order to fit my willow tree image (Waltzingmouse) as well as my Bible verse. The DPs are from October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket. They and the stamps are my “something new”! My “something old” is this sweet little ribbon slide I found in my grandmother’s button box; it looks like mother-of-pearl, but I am not sure if it’s real or not:
I added some TE twill and a little “leaf” for some interest. The “something given” is that luscious suede ribbon, which was a wonderful RAK from Tammy! I am on my last piece, and I am so sad, as it matches Baja Breeze SO well! The whole card base is Kraft, with a Baja Breeze mat. I added some black brads for interest, and some black grosgrain ribbon, too!
So why don’t you check out the other designers and see if they don’t inspire you to play with these colors:
- Broni - Splashes of Watercolor
- Tammy - Stamp Happy
- Barbara - Paper Pursuits
- Danielle – Wild Dragonfly Designs
- Kristin - Mindless Creativity
- and our Guest Designer of the month of April, Laura Pryor from Lil’Inker
Thanks so much for visiting today!
Remember, email me if you have any questions!! Have a blessed day!
