Happy Wednesday! It's my turn to host the Color Throwdown and I have (as usual) challenged my team with my three colors of Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Bordering Blue....(for some reason, they just don't like the blues!!!) I was enthralled by the flowers that Mona made for the Just Us Girls Challenge Week 4 and I thought the rich colors of the challenge would look great with this technique. (She has a video tutorial, so check it out!) If you don't have these exact colors, feel free to substitute as we want everyone to play! Here is my sample:
I think this is an elegant color combo and although I would not be able to put this card in an envelope, it would be a nice card to tuck into a gift bag for some lucky recipient!
Check out what the other designers have done, then be sure to post your own creation on the CTD blog via Mr. Linky! You've got a chance to be a Featured Stamper or a Guest Designer! Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI love your flower. It is beautiful. I checked out the video and that was fantastic. I can't wait to try it. Your card and color challenge is a good one. I am going to give it a try. I am home sick. I can't talk. You can't teach first grade three days before Halloween with out a voice. We have off for teachers convention the next two days. I don't think I'll make that but it will give me time to rest my voice and get better. Oh and make cards, the good part.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, LeAnne! Love the staggered sizes of the background layers and the blinged-out sentiment tag! And your flower is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE this, LeAnn! Even though your color choice gave me a headache, I love them together! LOL!!! Your flower is fabulous, and I thank you for using our challenge in the CTD! Come by next week for our wild card week! It's fabulous! Thanks for having me on the CTD this month...I really enjoyed it! {{{hugs}}}

ReplyDeleteLeAnne,
ReplyDeleteI don't have any rich razzleberry - would PTI's Raspberry Fizz be a close color or is that too bright? Or is there another one you recommend? I'm sure I have the eggplant and bordering blue...
Thanks! Hoping to play along.
