My bloggin' friend from down under, Makeesha, has a cute sketch challenge that I always want to play but never seem to get around to, and since she actually challenged me to play along, I made it a priority today! Here is the sketch, it is a really fun one:
and since I am trying to use some of my less-used sets, I pulled out Lovely as a Tree and paired it with my new set, Define Your Life:
It's hard to see but the tree was stamped in Sage Shadow Craft ink, then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. The rest is fairly simple; Sage Shadow and Brocade Blue are the colors I used; a little twig punch from MS and some white brads from my stash add the embellishments. Ribbon is SU's pretty organdy. I wish you could see it IRL, with all the sparkle!
I also did a real quick card for this week's CAS Fall to Layout #47 sketch:
My sentiment is not quite as big as the sample:
This is Bella Bleu DP, one of the few that didn't retire. The colors are sort of odd---the catalog says Kraft and Not Quite Navy, and yet my card uses Sahara Sand and Brocade Blue. I think they match more closely, don't you? Dreams du Jour and the new Teeny Tiny Wishes are the stamps used.
Thanks for visiting today, enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Beautiful cards, LeAnne! I love what you did with that tree image!
