PP732 Challenge from Jan

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Jan is our Paper Players hostess this week with a great theme...it's perfect for all types of cards, but I chose to make a masculine one, because I never seem to have enough of them!

I pulled out an old Artistic Outpost set called Route 66 and did some collage-style stamping:

My card base is Basic Beige, and I used the same ink to stamp all the images in the background, adding some shading around the edges.  I stamped the motorcycle in Versafine Black:

I used an old Paper Pumpkin set to add the embossed sentiment on a Tailor Made tag and embellished it with some Brushed Gold stitched stars from the retired Give it a Whirl dies; I felt like they matched the background pretty well!

Finally, a sentiment from Best Year and the third little leftover star to embellish it!

I hope you can play along with our "travel" theme this week!  Be sure to share your card with us at the Players blog!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

  3. What an awesome masculine card, LeAnne! The collage-style background is a terrific way to show off the bold bike. I never think to stamp my own background, but you have inspired me to give it a try. I love the sentiment stamped on the tag, too. What a great detail! Have a wonderful week!

  4. I love your motorcycle card, LeAnne! And the DSP is perfect.
I don't know anyone who rides a motorcycle tho. In Florida, you're taking your life into your own hands, if you choose to ride in all this crazy traffic! Huggs!

  8. Wow, what a great design, LeAnne! The subtilty of the background keeps it from being too busy and I love how you did the tag in black to match up with that fabulous motorcycle.

  9. LeAnne, this is the perfect masculine card. Muted colors, a motorbike, and a black sentiment. My hubby would absolutely approve of this as masculine! As for me, I appreciate the design, the background detail that adds texture and interest and the touch of the stars. fabulous card.

  10. I once drove a section of Route 66 from Las Vegas to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon (spectacular!) but I digress - that collage stamping is AMAZING - I thought it was patterned paper! Perfect background for you motorcycle too. A great masculine card!
