TGIF498 Fragrant Forest

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am squeaking in a card for the TGIF498 sketch challenge:

At our club meeting on Monday, we used the Fragrant Forest background stamp.  I think background stamps can be a bit intimidating, but with a little practice, a stamp positioner and maybe a sticky mat, you can create some pretty awesome backgrounds!  Here's the card we made:

We used Lost Lagoon ink and the Peaceful Season stamp set.  I had another blank panel stamped, but not adhered to a card, so I decided to cut out part of it with a circle die and use it for the TGIF sketch:

I used some retired Soft Glimmer papers in Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for the horizontal pieces and the scalloped mat, then added another sentiment from Peaceful Season.  I also added an embossed panel (Snowflake Sky).

Here's the inside:

These trees are so pretty!  Thanks for popping in today!

My brother sent me this photo from my dad's field:

Pretty awesome!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. Oh, LeAnne, I love this paper and can almost smell the aroma of that forest!! Two gorgeous cards!
We see American Eagles quite often - makes me so happy to say that!

  2. Both cards are beautiful, LeAnne! I love the Lost Lagoon rather than a darker green. I think Lagoon gives the card a snowy, surreal look!

  3. Very pretty with the color you chose. The eagles near my house in Florida just layed two eggs. I love watching them on You Tube. I wish the owls would leave them alone though.
