RRCB90 Celebrate You

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It's time for another Retro Rubber Challenge, and it's a very appropriate one for this time of the year!!!  Check it out:

Yummy!!! Of course, your project doesn't have to be a patriotic theme, these colors are great for lots of different occasions!  Just make sure your stamp set is at least a year old, and tell us how old it is!  For my card this week, I needed a birthday card for a special friend of the family who happens to be turning eight this week!  I turned to a Flourishes set from 2009 called Patriotism on Parade:

I stamped it in Blueberry Bushel--what a great color for this challenge--and added accents of red and white.  The patterned paper is from Our Daily Bread Designs' Patriotic Collection...doesn't it look work great for this challenge?  The diecuts and punches are all SU!

I punched a balloon from some red glimmer paper and added the "8" from the retired Little Numbers then hand-drew the balloon string!

Easy, peasy and a fun little card for an 8-year-old! I am also entering this at Inspire.Create.Challenge this week, since their theme is "kids"!!

I hope you'll share your red, white and blue retro creations with us at Retro Rubber!  Can't wait to see what you create!

We went to a Phillies game over the weekend, and there were fireworks after the game (which they won)!!  I wish I could figure out how to upload a video here, but it never works for me, so you'll have to be satisfied with a couple still shots!!  They were amazing!  There was at least 15 minutes of SOLID firework action!!  Got me in the July 4th mood! Too bad I didn't have a blue one to go with the white and red, LOL!   Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  3. Oh but the fireworks are amazing! As is your card. The patterned paper is marvellous and it matches the SU colours so well. I don't remember the little numbers dies - but they look endlessly useful. The stamp is a great one and Blueberry Bushel really makes it shine.
