PP345 CAS Butterflies

Hi everyone! Nance is our wonderful hostess today for the Paper Players and look at the fabulous challenge she has for us!

I am sure we'll have some gorgeous creations in the gallery this week!  For my card, I chose to make a notecard using some retiring  (and retired) products that I will surely miss!  So here we go:

This is probably less CAS than I would prefer but I kept thinking of things that would go with the Case This Sketch sketch that I used:

My background images are from Kinda Eclectic (leaves) and Gorgeous Grunge (speckles and lines); sentiment is from February 2016's Paper Pumpkin, Hello Sunshine, and the little butterflies are from Clearly Besotted.  The butterflies are diecut and punched from the SAB glimmer papers in Sweet Sugarplum, Bermuda Bay and Mint Macaron, which are also the colors of ink I used.  The little wee strip of washi tape is some I had laying on my desk and it doesn't really match the Mint, but I used it anyway!!!

I can't wait to see your clean-and-simple butterfly creations!  Check out what the design team did as well:

Cassidy surprised me one day by sneaking down to the garden and harvesting the asparagus for me! She did a great job too!  We aren't having a garden this year because of the construction, but the asparagus is a perennial so we don't have to do anything but cut it!  Too bad she doesn't like to eat it!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. What a lovely mix of pattern and sparkle on your butterfly card LeAnne - you make this collage style look effortless, I am in awe! Still plenty of white space so I think it ticks the CAS box and sooo pretty! I missed this sketch so off to take a look!

  3. Hummmmmm...........Cassidy surprised you and "sneaked down to the garden". But you got her picture in the sneaking! Guess she wasn't too sneaky or you have a watchful eye on her since you managed to get her picture in the act!!!!! LOL!

  4. Pretty card with all the glimmer. I'm sure I'll be entering this challenge, even though CAS is not easy for me. You make everything look easy with your talent. I'll eat Cassidy's portion of asparagus. My parents had a bed for years and then it finally went to seed after my father died. Fresh asparagus is YUM. There is hope for her...I didn't like it as a child but it's my favorite now (has been for 40 years!). In SW FL, it is going for $5 a pound and I refuse to pay that...especially when it comes from Mexico. Have a blessed day.

  6. So pretty! Gotta love all those sparkly butterflies, LeAnne! Great card!!! Love that Cassidy went to cut your fresh asparagus down! We planted some this year but nothing has come up. I remember when Kelsey was Cassidy's age and she use to run to the garden to pick off the cherry tomato's! Most of time she ended up eating them before she made it in the house! LOL TFS and have a wonderful Sunday! :
