Happy Monday, peeps! It’s good to be back stamping some Christmas creations! Lesley’s challenge today is a great one….check this out:
All those elements together make me think VINTAGE, so I pulled out Winter Post and a beautiful Darice EF to make my card this week:
I started with a Very Vanilla card base, then embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the snowflake EF. I daubered white craft ink on the raised portions of the embossed piece and then adhered it to the card. I stamped the skaters on a piece of vellum in Chocolate Chip, then cut it out with a Labels die. I then cut a CC frame using the Labels die as well, and stamped some snowflakes around the edge, sponging for a vintage look. The whole shebang was then adhered to the card…can you see the embossed snowflakes through the vellum? I love that look!
I added a piece of the new SU Venetian Crochet Trim with a few little banners:
and then used the cutout from the frame for my inside sentiment:
My last step was to glitter up some of the snowflakes on the front…..a very frosty finish to my card! And since the Catered Crop’s challenge this week is to use vellum, I’m entering this card there as well!
The DT has come up with some gorgeous samples, as usual…I hope you’ll stop by the Merry Monday blog to see them all and share yours with us as well!
One’s reward for helping grammy snap green beans is to get your own so you can make a moustache!
Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great smiley mustache, and you can eat it later! Is that an old-fashioned milkbox on your porch?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you from a sometimes Merry Monday participant. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card. I love the chocolate for a Christmas card. It's soft and sparkly at the same time. Happy, happy birthday to you. I hope you have a fantastic day! Seeing her moustache makes me think of a saying on a stamp. "You make one nice comment about the moustache and suddenly she's not your friend anymore".
ReplyDeleteLove this card! I am just going to have to try vellum! It scares me a little...the embossing part, but I think I will try it! Also I would like to wish you a very Happy Birthday! Your Design Team friends really appreciate you and just want to let you know, a lot of us in your virtual world, we are real, do appreciate you too!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes and God's Blessings to you on your Birthday Week!
