CTD290 & CM18

DSCF2513

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Just a quick little card today, using the beautiful colors from Tammy’s Color Throwdown challenge today:

These vintage pyrex dishes look so cool all stacked up together!  Love them!  I couldn’t come up with a sketch that I liked for these colors and patterns, so I just did some random circles, stamped and embossed with floral images.  I added a couple of flowers and some piercing for interest:

This also works for the Colour Me…! challenge this week, which is Anything Goes….you can choose up to five colors!

Have a great day!   Any questions, shoot me an email!

Finally had enough sun to play in the sandbox!

ColourQ239

DSCF2416
Hey, peeps!  Happy Tuesday----at least Monday was a nice day!  Mother Nature is so fickle this spring!  I have to enjoy my flowers inside today, gazing at this beautiful dress Arielle chose for the ColourQ challenge today:

And here is my skinny little CAS card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ238 Stampin CAS

I used an older Verve floral set, embossing each flower in white embossing powder, then adding button centers, sewn on with matching floss.  The sketch is an almost-exact case of the Clean and Simple sketch 290 from this week:

I used an older There She Goes stamp for the center:

I hope you’ll play along with these pretty spring colors…show us your creation at the ColourQ blog and be sure to stop by to see what the other courtiers created as well!

Yesterday was a perfect day for hanging clothes on the line….or pretending that the clothesbasket was a bathtub:

Merry Monday 106 Gingerbread People

DSCF2408
Hey, peeps, it’s Monday!  Did you have a good weekend?  Although the pollen count was crazy, I made it through!!   And now it’s time for another Merry Monday, and Katie has a sweet-as-can-be challenge for us:

I just happened to get a new set of  Christmas stamps last week, and it just happened to have gingerbread people in it!!!  So here ya go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 106 Gingerbread Christmas Card Stampin

I stamped my people on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock in white craft ink, then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  I gave them a bit more color and shading with some reinkers and aquapainters, then mounted them on a snowflake-embossed oval:

I added the banner and a few buttons, then stamped the inside with this sweet sentiment:

Papers are from Simple Stories’ Handmade Holiday!  I am also entering this in the Christmas Card Challenges 22 – Anything Goes- and the Jingle Belles challenge, All Bundled Up – to use at least three layers!  Hope you’ll play along with us too and share your sweet creation at the Merry Monday blog!

Paper Players 193

DSCF2391

Hi everyone!  It’s Sunday, and time for another Paper Players challenge!  Anne Marie has created a lovely sketch….I just love this!  What do you think?

I pulled out one of my favorite sets that is sadly retiring, Creative Elements, to create my card today:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 193 Creative Elements Stampin Up

I used the color palette from Color Throwdown 289:

I wasn’t too sure about them at first, but in the end, I thought the combination was pretty!  I began by wheeling the Blushing Bride background with the Shop Around jumbo wheel (also retiring) and mounting it on a Very Vanilla card.  The left panel was stamped with a couple of the elements from the set in Perfect Plum; then I stamped the flower once on a circular panel,  stamped it twice again on scraps, cutting them out and sponging them for some dimension:

I also stamped on the Wild Wasabi DP:

and added a little banner with the “hi” from Fabulous Phrases and Crochet Trim (yep, both retiring).

I hope you’ll stop by to see all the other designers’ creations; you can check them out at the Paper Players blog or here:
And we hope you’ll play along too and share your fabulous creation with us!!  Oh, and BY THE WAY---one of our very own had a special birthday yesterday---ANN!  Stop by her blog and wish her some birthday wishes!!!

Don’t you wish your vehicle had a wee holder for dandelions?

Three Little Spools

DSCF2406

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Just a quick CAS card today—for some reason lately, I am attracted to monochromatic palettes!  Here ya go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Love U Sew Much Stampin

This project is for three challenges!  Colour Me…! has a beauty in blues:

CAS-ual Fridays has a “three thirds” challenge (love my threes!),

and that seemed to fit the Fusion Card challenge:

These cute little spools of thread from Paper Smooches’ Needle Little Love set were just perfect with their little chevron pattern!  I stamped them in Palette Noir, colored them with markers and a blender pen, then added a Pacific Point ribbon to cover up the fact that I cut down a rectangular stitched mat to a square, LOL!

Enjoy the day and be sure to come back tomorrow for our next Paper Players challenge!

More chalk artwork….

Fast Friday Card

DSCF2399

Happy Friday, everyone!  I am glad this week is almost over!  I am looking forward to the weekend, that’s for sure!  Before I get to my project, I want to thank the lovely ladies at The Kraft Journal; they’re featuring my project from this post on their blog today!  Thanks again!

Today’s card is a real quickie; again, I am highlighting some products that will be retiring soon!   I already had the floral image from Fabulous Florets stamped and heat embossed on Shimmery White paper and watercolored with Strawberry Slush ink when I saw this sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches:

And this is what I did with it:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Blessings from Heaven Stampin Up

In REAL LIFE, the colors in my (non-SU) DP match my Strawberry Slush panel perfectly….you will just have to take my word for it, LOL!  I added a sentiment from the retiring Blessings From Heaven, stamped on a Chalk Talk die and added some black glimmer brads from the Basics collection (also retiring).  Simple and easy!

DSCF2401

Thanks for the visit today!

I got a set of chipboard letters for $1 at an Amish stamp store and I thought they would be fun for Cassidy to play with as she is learning her letters….she can identify each letter, but putting them in order (unless she is singing the ABC song) is a challenge.  But she only liked dumping them out and putting them back in the cute little birdhouse box! We’ll work on that!

DSCF2354

Happy Thursday, everyone….we’re on the downhilll slide of the week!  And brrr, it’s been a chilly one.  I thought winter was over!  My card today was inspired by my friend Shawn; she posted a picture on FB from Easter  wearing this cute red and white polka-dotted dress….adorable!  She’s adorable too!  So this card is in honor of her, LOL!  And around this time of the year, now that the retired lists are out, I find myself using sets and accessories that I know will soon be gone!  So here we go with a bright, monochromatic birthday card:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Make A Wish Birthday Stampin Up

I used the birthday sentiment from Delightful Dozen (I cannot for the life of me figure out why they’re retiring this one) and the cake from Make A Wish.  I used papers from Polka Dot Parade; Stripes embossing folder; Silver Glimmer paper; the Scallop Border punch, Stitched Real Red ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds glitter….all of which are retiring!  I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to position the sentiment along the left side of the panel, then stamped the cake, stamped it again on a scrap, cut it out and popped it up….rhinestones enhance the “flames”!  Oh, and I added a little glimmer star for fun, too!

DSCF2357

The gals at Freshly Made Sketches never disappoint me, I can’t go the week without using their sketch:
Another card for my birthday stash!

I didn’t have Cassidy last week because I was supposed to be on jury duty, so yesterday was actually the first day I watched her this week.  My friend knitted a little Nemo for me to give her for Easter:

She loved it, and made it “swim” all around the kitchen floor!

Enjoy your day!
