Young Vermillion

DSCF6093

I love birds, but I have no idea what a vermillion looks like; probably not this!  But I am combining a few challenges here today, so that’s why my bird looks the way he does!  Here they are:

  • The sketch challenge CFC15 and Fall to Layout 153, which is being shared by CAS-ual Fridays and Clean & Simple Stamping, shown here (I flipped the sketch as I didn’t like my bird looking off the edge of the page!):

And here is my card:

Although I used several sets, I hope it still qualifies as CAS!  The colors were a bit out of my comfort zone, but I tried to incorporate the ones in the photo!  Thanks for visiting today!

  2. Both little birdies are sweet! Have no clue what a vermillion is but you made him look terrific! And I have never seen the other little birdie in a sweatshirt - could fall really be on its way to PA??

  4. I've no idea what the bird is supposed to look like either but I feel sure it would be thrilled with its make-over! I love the colours you've used along with the natural thread. And how nice to see your grandaughter doing a spot of light reading!

  8. LeAnne, I think you captured it perfectly. Even though there is so much detail on your card, it is still perfectly CAS. Absolutely love it! BTW... thanks for introducing me to a new challenge site.
