Christmas in January

In my effort to make at least ONE Christmas card a week during 2010, I chose Sketch 46 from Card Patterns:

to make this card with my Waltzingmouse stamps:

I turned the sketch on its side; the card base is Ruby Red; I think the DP is My Minds' Eye; punch is from MS. Here's a peek at the inside with a sentiment from CHF:

I really wanted to spotlight that big beautiful snowflake! Thanks for visiting today---I have company coming for dinner, so I gotta run!

  • Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stitched Christmas; CHF Vintage Christmas Expressions; Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods
  • Paper: Ruby Red, Bordering Blue, Naturals White, MME DP
  • Ink: Real Red, Bordering Blue
  • Acc: RHR Ribbon, MS Punch, Big Bling

  2. This is adorable LeAnne! The stitching on the snowflake looks so realistic that I firstly thought that it was sewn by hand! :)
    Happy New Year!

  4. Fantastic idea to get a start on those holiday cards. I may have to steal it so I'm not so rushed at the end of the year. Great card. That snowflake is beautiful.

  5. What a great idea, LeAnne! I'm following the blog Christmas Cards All Year 'Round this year. You have to follow their monthly challenge and make 5 cards. I say this every year, but this year I'm doing it! Love your card! Love how you turned the sketch! Have fun collecting those cards all year!

  9. Beautiful card. I'm glad you decided to share it with us now. I really thought the snowflake was hand-stitched. I even clicked on the image to get a better look and STILL couldn't decide (and I sew!) Once I read the notes I finally knew better.

Once again. A beautiful creation, LeAnne.

  13. Love all the cards on the page as usual. It is cold here LeAnne! Down to 10 and we did not have heat last night. January and February are our coldest months! Not to worry, the heater got fixed this afternoon and it is 70 inside again. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope your dinner was good and you had a lovely evening!
