So today's Stamp Simply Challenge #65 is to make a Christmas card using only one piece of 2" DP on your card--you can use any other cardstock and embellishments, but only a 2" piece of DP! I don't know if I was just having a bad mojo day, or a glutton for punishment, but I made three cards before I got one I really liked! And I am not even sure it qualifies as a "Christmas" card--maybe a winter card! Oh well! So here's my favorite:
All my DP is from the same sheet of BG's Wassail. I used the little snowman and sentiment from Whippersnapper's Winter Schminter set. He is grunged up a little and has some SU Dazzling Diamonds for some sparkle, which really looks better IRL. This is simple but still kinda cute!
Number two:
The ribbon and embossing on the deer are actually Always Artichoke, not brown as it looks here! I used Confetti White for my tag which now looks speckled. Grrr. And number three:
Oh dear, this card just got more complicated and elaborate the longer I worked on it! I used my Christmas JustRite set, some stars from Holiday Blitz and a sentiment from Snowman for Peace by Whippersnapper. In fact, I CASE'd Anna's little banner after seeing her snowflake posts here. (Of course, hers is much cuter than mine! ) Then I added some snowflake punches like Peanutbee did and added some MS glitter and it just went on & on. I finally just stopped! So create your own masterpiece and play the challenge too! Remember, my blog candy goes until 9 pm tonight!
These are all adorable, but my fav is the snowman...I love them! Great cards!
