So here are my "Quick Cards". I call these "Cheater Cards" because I used images from a Melissa Frances 12x12 page of
vintage Christmas advertising labels I had been hoarding for about two years. I saw the cute tag that Darlene used on one of her projects and thought this would be a perfect time to break that hoarding habit! Since Jennifer's challenge was to make a quick set of cards, these were perfect. Once I got the basic design, I just made an assembly line and put them all together! They all use the same background stamp (Leaves Backgrounder #3, from CHF) on the same card stock (Kraft), same color combos (Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke and Creamy Caramel), same ink and same sentiment set (Flourishes' Holiday Greetings). I added some lace & ribbon from my stash as well as embellished each design with a Gelly Roll pen. Now all I have to do is add an inside sentiment! (If you'd like to get a better view, click on the photo for a close-up). I hope this inspires you to make some quick cards too!
Thanks for visiting! Remember--tomorrow is Color Throwdown Challenge, AND I will be offering some blog candy to celebrate my 50,000 hits! BE THERE!
WOW!! These are so pretty... I like their vintage look!
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy too.!!
These are FANTASTIC LeAnne!! Love the touch of lace ... goes so well with the "vintage" feel of these images. GREAT idea!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes ... Color Throwdown ... I'LL BE THERE!!
These are BEAUTIFUL, Leanne! I LOVE them! Thank you so much for playing! Your cards are just stunning! Hope you have a wonderful day! :)
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, these are so beautiful! But I'm curious as to how you (and especially where) you secured the ribbon. That is always a challenge for me. Does it go over the top and all the way around the back of the card? At least one of these look like a tent fold card and I can never figure out how to get ribbon to go vertically on a tent fold!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, these are FABULOUS! I love the vintage look to all of them and the lace is to die for! Excellent designs!
ReplyDeleteLOL... word verification: cruffie!
