Hello, stamping friends! Happy Sunday! It's time for a new Paper Players challenge, and Christy has a lovely sketch for us! I couldn't wait to use one of SU's new upcoming sets called Time to Unwind! I belong to a craft group at my church and we have LOTS of knitters and crocheters! So I was happy to get this set. Here we go:
And here is Christy's sketch:
Love it! I just happened to have this scrap of printed paper on my desk that fell out of my plethora of other scraps of printed paper, and it fit perfect for the sketch!
I stamped the knitted image in Real Red, then did some masking and stamped the yarn ball in Pool Party. The scissors were stamped on top. I added a Basic Black diecut border and a Poppy Whittles sentiment. A little black & white baker's twine bow finished it off. I left the inside blank so I can use it for most any occasion!
I will be saving this sketch for future use for sure, and I hope you'll play along with us this week! Share your creation over at the Paper Players blog so we can all see it!
So this happened last week:
Cassidy was inducted into the National Honor Society! We are so proud of her!
This picture just makes me tear up!
Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Cassidy! Not only is she brilliant, but she's a beauty too! I know you're a proud grandma! I like your card too! It's about time to get that knitting out again!
ReplyDeleteI love a good hobby card - I wish I was better at knitting and learning to crochet is a long-held desire - one of those things I'm promising to do when I've got more time on my hands! A cute card for tge sketch!
ReplyDeleteAnd I almost forgot - congratulations to Cassidy too!
ReplyDeletelovely card , congrats ☺️💐 happy day
ReplyDeleteI love this card, LeAnne! I am getting that same stamp set for my very own later this week, I had to have it too as my mom loves to crochet. I cross stitch but never learned crochet or knitting...when I worked at an arts & crafts store in Germany I loved shopping all the yarn samples though! My coworker and I would sometimes get to choose things to carry in the little shop and she thought I was hilarious because I kept saying, "Ooh, pretty let's get that one! Let's get that one too!" and she reminded me that I don't even use yarn, ha! Anyway, your card is adorable, I love the color combination and I can't wait to get this stamp set in my own collection. Thanks for making my sketch look fabulous and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great card, LeAnne and perfect for those "wooly" friends! I can't believe how Cassidy has grown - what an honor. No wonder you are all so proud.

What a great card using that 'perfect for you' stamp set. Enjoy every proud moment with that beautiful granddaughter of yours! And did Dana make her sweater?! I love it!
ReplyDeleteA BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Cassidy! I know you are so proud of her. She sure is a beautiful young lady. I am with Christy, I never learned to crochet or knit, but wish I could. I always think it looks so relaxing. Your friend will smile when she receives this card. Love the polka dots and color combo, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love it when elements in a design just fall into place. The graphic embellishment you did is perfect too!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I love that little knitting stamp! What super tags it would make to give the care instructions with a knitted gift. Love that red dotty paper and the literal torn edge on it. Always a great card, LeAnne! :-)
ReplyDeleteAn adorable card, LeAnne! As one who both crochets and knits, this set was one i "needed". Great paper, too! Congratulations to Cassidy! NHS is a wonderful honor!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card for your quilting/knitting/crocheting friends, LeAnne! I adore the trio of stamped images and the pretty horizontal die cut strip seems to tie everything together. Big congrats to your granddaughter! I can't believe how she's grown up and obviously is an intelligent and high achieving young lady.
